ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR IES EXAM Yes, You are eligible for IES exam. IES exam is conducted by UPSC in once time in year. If you have completed engineering discipline in following departments then you are eligible for IES exam 1.Civil Engineering 2.Electrical Engineering 3.Mechanical engineering. 4.Electronics and Communication Engineering. The applicant age should between 21 yrs to 30 yrs.Age relaxation is provide for SC/ST/OBC candidate. The Notification was published in the month of January or February in Official website or employment news papers. Final year student also eligible for IES exam . Number of attempts for IES exam is For general student it is 4. And for OBC it is 7 times. And for SC/ST it is 9 time If you are from different departments then also you are eligible but you should take one of the above departments as exam. Eligibility For IES IES (Indian Engineering Service) Exams are held every year by the UPSC.. The following candidates are eligible for appearing in the IES exams :- 1) You should be a B.Tech degree holder or in the final year of your B.Tech in any of the following streams Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering Electrical Engineering Civil Engineering Mechanical Engineering 2) You should be in the age limit of 21-30 years for general category,21-33 years for OBC and 21-35 years for SC/ST The maximum number of attempts allowed for the general category is 4,for OBC its 7 and for SC/ST there is no limit.. So,yes..you are definitely eligible for appearing for IES.. As of now..the exact dates are not released so here are the tentative dates The forms shall be available in the first week of January and the last date of submission is around mid of February..
