Re: In which year a B.tech student can appear for IES exam? To appear for IES entrance exam you must be a graduate in engineering in one of the courses like civil, mechanical, electronics and electrical. But if you are not in one of them then no problem you can still appear but you will have to prepare your self by choosing any one of the branches. So its quite tough if you are a computer science or IT student. But still you can give it a try. You can attempt the exam once you complete you BTech. So prepare hard during your final year and appear in the next year |

Re: In which year a B.tech student can appear for IES exam? dear friend, You didn't mention you specialization in B.tech, so it is difficult to say about you in IES. Actually IES exam is conducted only for four department of B.Tech as: Electronics & communication engineering (ECE) Mechanical engineering (ME) Electrical engineering (EE) Civil engineering (CE) If you belong to any of these department then you can apply for IES, other wise you can't. & after completion of your B.tech degree you will be eligible for this exam. & there are no any provision for the appearing(final year) student in this exam. So, kindly wait for the completion of your B.Tech degree, but during your B.Tech you should prepare for this exam. good luck. |
