The NDA entrance examination is conducted twice in every year by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for the selection in the different wing of NDA.To appear in the NDA exam you need following criteria. Eligibility Criteria for NDA Examination. --> Pass 12th class from a recognize board/University. The 12th board appearing student can also apply for the NDA examination. --> The age must be between 16 1/2 to 19 years at the time of NDA entrance examination. --> Only Male candidates are eligible to apply for the NDA examination. So, As per eligibility criteria if you are a female candidate then you are not eligible to apply for NDA examination. Actually NDA is an exam for which only unmarried boys are eligible. If a women wants to enter defence then she must give the SSC entrance exam. Thus I would suggest your sister to take the same path. |

I am sorry but girls are not eligible for this NDA I or II. But yeah, girls have a special entry in the Army wing. If she clears, then she has to go through a medical check up and SSB interview, where group discussion and personal interview takes place. Re: Are girls eligible for written test of NDA-2? Yes of course, you are eligible to take the NDA entrance examination. The minimum qualification for appearing the NDA entrance test is plus two. For commerce student can apply only for Army wing, science students with physics, chemistry and maths can apply any field of the academy. The minimum age limit required is 16 ½. The eligible candidate under 19 ½ can also take NDA examination. According to your date of Birth you have chances till 2014. There are also some physical standards for any applicants of NDA. The candidate should have minimum height of 152cm with weight 42.5 kg. You can apply to the academy when the official announcement for the exam will come in the Employment news or dailies. |

It is only for unmarried male candidates.But don't be disappointed.Army welcomes brave girls like you.There are many entry scheme for girls to join the Indian defense services. Name of various entry scheme is as follows: JAG( Judge advocate general) - To join army through this scheme , you have to pass LLB.After passing, you you have to fill application form for this entry scheme.Then you will be called for direct interview.After qualifying this you have to face SSB. SSCW(PG) - To join army through this scheme , you have to pass PG.After passing, you you have to fill application form for this entry scheme.
