sir/madam, my sister want to appear for NDA-2. previous year girls r not alloud to sit in NDA exam which always held twice a year. so i want to know will my sister is able to give this exam held on august this year.

but if you want to join army then you can do so by appearing for women special entry ......all you need to do is to have a first class graduation.....

However, she can enter in defence services through following Schemes But only after completeing Her Graduation:-

CDS: Previously this entry scheme was meant only for Male ,but from now Females can also apply,they will be provided SSC and will be trained at OTA.CDSE is conduted by UPSC twice every year.Entrance is conducted by UPSC (http://www.upsc.gov.in) twice every year.

Eligibility criteria:For ARMY- graduation in any background,with at least 60% aggregate.For Navy: B.sc(with Physics and Mathematics) or B.tech/B.E.For Airforce- B.E./B.Tech,graduate in any decipline with Physics or Mathematics at class 12.
Female candidates can join Army only.

Notification for it has been released,it has been scheduled to held on 19.09.10

UES: university entry scheme,is meant for all male and female candidates those who have attend there first university degree,that is (Bachelor degree). Notification for it are released In Employment news.

SSC: short service commission,is ment for all male and female candidates those who have B.sc/M.sc (Physics,radio,electronics,) or B.tech/M.tech (civil,mechanical,electronics,electronics & talecommunication,Aeronautical etc.) with atlest 60% aggregate including all semester.Notification for it are released In Employment news.

You can also enter in 'Army medical corp' if you are an docter (mbbs).You have to crack an entrance for it conducted by army,navy and airforce it self.Notifications are released in employment news keep it reading.

For technical entry minimum qualification is BCA,B.TECH,B.SC (elctronics/mathematics).You have to crack an entrance for it conducted by army,navy and airforce it self.Notifications are released in employment news keep it reading.

She can apply after graduation for women's short service commission exam.

becoz girls and boys should hav equal right but it is a rule. Nevertheless u still hav the chance to enter into defence after Graduation.

sorry dear,girls are not eligible for the NDA exams,there is restriction for girls.............but you can join the defense after your graduation..............for that you have to appear for the CDS exam.......

so just compleet your graduation with good marks and also prepare for the CDS exam............

it will be a good and suitable option for the girls

only boys are allow to attain for written test of NDA.

you can appear UPSC exam after your graduation. through the UPSC exam you are allow to join in indian defence force.

It is really sorry to say that both the NDA-1 and NDA-2 are for only unmarried boys and not for the girls..

But if you are interested in the Indian Defence Services ,then you can apply for another exams conducted by UPSc...

Such exams for which girls are eligible are Combined Defence Services(CDS),UES and SSC exams...

It's good that your sister want to be in the Indian army.
But she is not eligible till her graduation.
As girls are invited for the job of indian army,indian navy or indian air force after their graduation

girls are not eligible for NDA examination. i will suggest to visit the official recruitment website of indian army www.joinindianarmy.nic.in to know how girls can enter in indian army. there are also such scheme. for NDA only unmarried boys can apply.

Girls are not atall eligible to appear NDA exams ...wether 1 or 2 doesnt really matter...but yes...you need not be disheartened because...there are various other entry schemes for girls to enter in defence line...you need to be updated with the employment news...

Sorry to say that only unmarried male candidate can apply for NDA exam but within the age of 16(1/2)-19 years.

If girls are interested to join Indian Defense then they can apply for the exams like SSC(short service commission) through UES(University entry scheme) in technical section of defense.

i want to inform you that girls can not appear in the NDA exam . It is only for

unmarried male candidates.But don't be disappointed.Army welcomes brave

girls like you.There are many entry scheme for girls to join the Indian defense

services. Name of various entry scheme is as follows:

JAG( Judge advocate general) - To join army through this scheme , you have

to pass LLB.After passing, you you have to fill application form for this entry

scheme.Then you will be called for direct interview.After qualifying this you

have to face SSB.

SSCW(PG) - To join army through this scheme , you have to pass

PG.After passing, you you have to fill application form for this entry scheme.

Then you will be called for direct interview.After qualifying this you have to

face SSB.After clearing SSB you will become army officer.

Sorry Brother but girls are not eligible bot don't worry if she really wants to do something for our Nation then she can appear for CDS exam after her graduation & there are so many option in Air-force, Paramilitary force & Navy after her graduation..

Girl candidates are not eligible to appear NDA exam which is conducted by UPSC

for 12th passed or appearing students.

If you have very much interest in serving the nation then you can grab

opportunities to get into defence services after graduation.

You can apply for Combined defence services examination after graduation
for admission to Officers Training Academy.

Also you can go for BTech degree first and then join Indian Army on the through University Scheme.

No,Female candidate are not allowed In N.D.A Exams.

National Defence Academy(NDA) Exams Only for Unmarried male candidates are Eligible.

The candidate should have a minimum 16 1/2 Yrs of Age.

So,According to Eligibility Criteria,Your sister is not Eligible.

But If she is interested go for Other Defence Exam for Officer Training Academy - (SSC Women Non-Technical Course).

Unmarried Women,issue less widow who not remarried are Eligible.

Age Should between 18 - 24 Yrs of Age.

Sorry to say but the girls are not allowed to give the NDA exam as the eligibility criteria says that only unmarried male candidates are allowed to give this exam.

Apart from that the age limitation is between 16.5 - 19 years with no relaxation.

Height should be at least 157 cm with 5 cm chest expansion.

No color blindness with 6/6 eyesight.

NDA is only for BOYS not for GIRLS..
Only unmarried male candidates are allowed to appeared in the NDA examination..
How ever if you wish to join INDIAN ARMY then you can join it after your graduation...

Girls candidates are not eligible for the NDA examination. Only unmarried

want to go in the field of defence services then i advise you to do

graduation course and then apply for the CDS examination. It will be

batter for you. After completing graduation you can also apply for the

Civil Services examination.
