As in 11th standard you are not eligible to apply for NDA. You can join NDA only after passing 12th standard. This exam is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) twice in a year, i.e., NDA (I) & NDA (II). It has 3 wings : • Army • Navy • Air Force [b]• Selection Procedure :[/red] > Written Exam > Interview > Medical • Eligibility Criteria for NDA : • You should have passed 12th standard from any stream from a recognized institute or university. • Your age should be in between 16.5 to 19 years. • You should be Unmarried male candidate and a citizen of India. • Physical Standards for Indian Army : > Vision Standards :  > Height weight :  ♦ Examination Pattern :  For further details, visit www.upsc.gov.in |

Re: Can I be eligible for NDA entrance exam while in 11th class? Hello, The educational qualification for NDA is 12th standard. The age limit is 18-21 years. So you are not eligible as you are in 11th standard. |

But it is to inform you that you can join NDA-National Defence Academy only after passing 12th standard. Being in 11th standard you are not eligible for NDA. - Well NDA offers following defence services as follows- Indian Army Indian Air Force Indian Navy -To join these fields, you will have to appear in NDA entrance Exam conducted by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) Twice in a year generally as NDA I & NDA II. -NDA is for only unmarried Male candidates. Basic eligibility criteria for NDA Exam is as follows: --------------------------------------------------- For Indian Army, You should have passed 12th standard in any stream science/art/commerce from State board or recognized school. For Indian Navy & Air force, You should have passed 12th with PCM subjects. There is no percentage limit mentioned for this exam. If you are appearing in 12th then you can also apply. No friend,Girls cannot join NDA as the eligibility to join NDA is as follows: NDA exam is conducted twice in a year.The eligibility is as follows: 1. Indian Citizen 2. Age between 16-19 3. NDA - NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY exam conducted by UPSC twice every year as NDA-I and NDA-II for entry in to Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wings of NDA. The eligible candidate must be an unmarried Indian male having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass in any discipline from a recognised Central/State Board within the age group of 16.5 to 19 years of age with a good physical fitness. The rgistration process for NDA-I has already been completed the exam will be held on 15.04.2012. If you are interested you may apply for NDA-II, the notification iof which will come out in the month of May 2012. Physical Requirements necessary for NDA -------------------------------------------------  Exam Pattern& syllabus for NDA written test: ------------------------------------------- There will be written Examination for total of 900 marks in two Subjects 1. Mathematics - Maximum marks is 300 and the duration of the test is 2.5 Hrs. 2. General Ability Test - Maximum marks is 600 and the duration of the test is 2.5 Hrs. As per the UPSC guidelines, candidates applying for the Naval Wing and Air Force Wing of NDA must have qualified +2 with Physics and Maths whereas for the Army Wing of NDA, this combination of subject is not required. Apart from being +2 qualified candidate, you must have attained the minimum eligible age, which is 16 years 6 months. The maximum age limit is 19 years. |
