Re: What is the height requirement for Indian Army? I have heard that acc entry that is to become an officer it is also known as service entry the age limit is 27 yrs is there any change in age limit to appear for acc exam? |

What is the height and age requirement for Indian Army? Dear sir, I am Nilesh Mandavkar from Maharashtra. Indian Army aspirants first crack the NDA Examination which is conducted by Union Public Service Commission in yearly twice i.e. NDA - I and NDA - II Required height/Physical stands for NDA Examination  Eligibility Criteria The candidate should: Have a XII Class / Equivalent passed certificate conducted by State Board / Universities. Those appearing for the exam can also apply provided they furnish the proof of passing the Class XII exam at a later date as specified by the UPSC. Have Physics & Maths in 10+2 if he has applied for Navy & Air Force. Be an unmarried male. Be between 16 1/2 to 19 years of age. Be physically fit. |

Re: What is the height requirement for Indian Army? Indian Army can be joined through NDA(National Defence Academy) entrance exam conducted by UPSC twice every year after 12th standard. Some standards set by NDA are listed below: Western Himalayan applicants should have a standard height of 166cms, weight 48kgs and chest 77cms Eastern Himalayan candidates should have a height of 160cms; the criteria for the rest are similar to those for Western region people. For aspirants from Eastern and Western Plain region height - 170cms weight - 50kgs chest - 77cms respectively is necessary. Southern region applicants must possess the following measurements - height 165cms, weight 50kgs and chest 77cms. Central region youths, willing to join the Indian Army, are required to have a height of 168 cms, weight of 50kgs and chest size of 77cms. There is relaxation on height standards for Ladakhis, Gorkhas, Tribals and people from Andaman Nicobar Island of up to 5 to 7 cms. All the best. |

There is also a relaxation of 5 cms in the height to the candidates belonging to north - eastern states of our country.
