Hai friend,

Height Eligibility Criteria for Indian Army.

Some standards set by NDA are listed below:

Western Himalayan applicants should have a
standard height of 166cms,
weight 48kgs and chest 77cms

Eastern Himalayan candidates should have a
height of 160cms; the criteria for the rest are similar to those for Western region people.

For aspirants from Eastern and Western Plain region
height - 170cms
weight - 50kgs
chest - 77cms respectively is necessary.

Southern region applicants must possess the following measurements -
height 165cms,
weight 50kgs and
chest 77cms.

Central region youths, willing to join the Indian Army, are required to have a height of 168 cms,
weight of 50kgs and
chest size of 77cms.

There is relaxation on height standards for Ladakhis, Gorkhas, Tribals and people from Andaman Nicobar Island of up to 5 to 7 cms.

For joining Indian Army a candidate must be Mentally as well as Physically Strong to face and stay with the difficult Training of Indian Army.....

Age you have asked about the Height Requirement for Indian army that is average 157 Cm and it is Change with the weight of candidate as listed in following Charts......





Chest Expansion of candidate at lest 5 Cm and chest should be at least 84 Cm.....

Eyesight should be 6/6....

Indian Army can be joined through NDA(National Defence Academy) entrance exam conducted by UPSC twice every year after 12th standard.

The minimum acceptable Height for Indian Army is 157.5cm which is also varies with weight and age.
