Dear friend, As you haven't applied for GATE that's why you are asking ...any way you can apply for GATE....or it is better if you will face this exam when you will be in final year ...... As you have face Pre Engineering Test for addmission in B.E. or B.Tech .....It is entrance exam for M.Tech in the same stream. Go ahead....http://www.onestopgate.com/ Best of Luck |

And go through the syllabus of the GATE exam ,and study all the contents throughlly,do not leave any content,because no one knows question will be asked fro which portion.. All the best... |

To get good percentile in GATE you have to work hard and your should have good knowledge. your basic concept must be clear and should have depth knowledge of your subject. As per me it will be better if you join a coaching class like GATEforum as they provide study material and easy tricks to solve the problems? |

A student either in 3rd year or higher year can apply for this exam. If you are eager about this exam then you should apply for GATE exam in this year. for preparation you should go through basics of each subjects. There are many preparation books available in your nearby book stores or even you can find the study materials and previous year papers online from the popular sites: www.onestogate.com, www.gateforum.com etc.. good luck. |

At first go through the syllabus of GATE properly and according to the syllabus get the concept of topics covered there. GATE is totally based on objective type questions where options given are quite similar to make the candidate confused. So you have to prepare yourself in that way. Gate-2011 exam will be held on feb-13, 2011 Preparation for gate is very important since you have to get your basic concepts right.. after getting your Gate score, you need to apply to different institutes separately depending on your field of interest.. then u need to get through the interview.. |

India is a booming market for well trained people and I think your place lies there. gate exam needs special preparation for m.tech specialization, work hard that's only the way to face. good luck |
