Sir,
I haven't yet applied for Gate. Actually I am totally innocent of it and I don't know ho to apply for GATE.Sir,is it possible to apply now if I want to face GATE?

for appearance in gate you should first complete b.e or b.tech in any university and then you face in gate exam

As you have face Pre Engineering Test for addmission in B.E. or B.Tech .....It is entrance exam for M.Tech in the same stream.

there are many fields to choose from against B.TECH.do your graduation with bio chemistry, biotechnology, pharmacy, microbiology, life sciences, others. India is a booming market for well trained people and I think your place lies there.

gate exam needs special preparation for m.tech specialization, work hard

if you want to face GATE then you must work hard for its preparation.you must have a graduate degree.in B.Sc or B.Tech (any bachelor degree) from science fields.moreover download some of the papers from the website like www.gateforum.com and sart preparing for it.

dear friend, as you don't know about GATE, i would like to give some information.
GATE form is published every year in the month of november.
A student either in 3rd year or higher year can apply for this exam.
If you are eager about this exam then you should apply for GATE exam in this year.

for preparation you should go through basics of each subjects.

GATE exam is a entrance exam through which a btech student gets admission in mtech in the same stream. you can give the exam after completing your btech. if you score good marks then you will become eligible to get admission in good college like iit, nit, iim etc. so start preparing well for the exam.

just you have to to either b.e or b.tech or msc.
then only you can sit in gateexam.
gate exam syllabus are equivalent to b.e syllabus.. up to fourth semester

The next year exams form will not be released. So you can apply in the month of december 2010.
For GATE you must be in the final year.
You may take extra coaching for GATE.

You can give GATE exam while you are in 3rd or 4th year of your engineering degree.
To get good percentile in GATE you have to work hard and your should have good knowledge.
your basic concept must be clear and should have depth knowledge of your subject.
As per me it will be better if you join a coaching class like GATEforum as they provide study material and easy tricks to solve the problems?

can I change the branch in M.tech( but my branch in B.tech is mechanical) and how to prepare or face the GATE exam...

the gate exam is conducted in the month of February,,

are you B.E or M.Sc student?have you completed graduation or prefinal year?if you are in final year or prefinal year then you can apply for GATE.

last date for apply through online is 27/10/2010.so you have sufficient time to apply.do not hesitate do it now.
