However,if you want to join army then it can be possible after your graduation. After graduation, you can apply UES(University Entry Scheme) in various engeneering streams. There are many girls who dream for joining NDA , but any his they have to keep themselves back due to the fact that they are still living in a male dominating democratic country!!! NDA is stand for the National Defence Academy. The NDA entrance examination is conducted twice in every year by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for the selection in the different wing of NDA. To appear in the NDA entrance examination you need the following eligibility criteria. Eligibility Criteria for NDA Examination. --> Pass 12th class from a recognize board/University. The 12th board appearing student can also apply for the NDA examination. --> The age must be between 16 1/2 to 19 years at the time of NDA entrance examination. These are the basic eligibility criteria to appear in the NDA entrance examination. If you satisfy the above eligibility criteria then you are eligible to apply for the NDA examination. So, if you are a girls candidates then you are not eligible to apply for the NDA entrance examination. Visit UPSC website for details information. |

The eligibility criteria for NDA is:- He must be in between 16.5-19 years. The candidate must be an Indian citizen. The candidate must be an unmarried male. The candidate must be passed/appeared in 12th Science with a recognized university. The candidate must be medically fit. You should have all these criteria fulfilled to apply for NDA. So being a girl candidate you can't apply for NDA exam. Thank you... |

The reason behind this may be as the Girls are not suitable for the physical training provided to the NDA cadets as that training is too hard for the girls that may effect them for their Future life. However if Girl candidates are willing to join Defense Forces of India then they may be sent to the Officers Training Academy for necessary training but in order to be eligible to join any Defense Forces, you must hold a bachelors degree. |

Girls are not allowed for NDA exam because The certain criteria for NDA exam is you must be the citizen of India you must be the age of 16.5 to 19 you must pass the +2 level examination only unmarried male candidates are applicable.... |

You have to study till Graduation if you want to join Defence as an Officer. Eligibility Criteria for NDA examination: -10+2 pass from a recognised Board of Education -Unmarried male and Indian Citizen -Age between 16.5 to 19 years. Exam Pattern: -Written Examination -SSB Interview -Medical Examination As you are Girl you can not apply for it. You can take admission in Graduation and complete it and then apply for CDS examination. While doing Graduation you can prepare for CDS examination so that you are well prepared when you apply for CDS examination. For more information visit http://www.upsc.gov.in |

Dear There , Sorry to say but i just want to tell you that you cannot appear in any of the NDA exams because you do not fulfill the eligibility criteria required for a candidate to appear in the NDA exam , which is conducted twice in a year by UPSC. The Required Eligibility Criteria are : * You must be an Indian Citizen. * You must be an unmarried male. * Your age must lie in between 16.5-19 years. * You must have passed 12th with PCM as your key subjects from any recognized college / school. * You should be physically & Mentally fit. So , Based on the above , you cannot appear in the exam as the exam is conducted only for unmarried males under the above specified age group.' Moreover , if you want to join Defense , then you can fulfill your dream through CDS entrance exam but for this you have to complete your graduation first. This is the information i have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. Hope the information will help you to the extent you want. |

NCC direct entry scheme:- ---------------------------I f you are having NCC 'C' certificate in respective 'army','air force',and'navy' you will be eligible for joining army. after you been eligible for direct entry scheme, you need to fill forms for respective entry and then you will face SSB (service selection board) in which you will face interview, various officers will scan you to the most in the interview, task and other tests like psychology test etc. If your are selected here you will undergo a MEDICAL test and then you have to wait for you merit list to come... if you are in the list you are ready to serve the army..!!! SORRY, GIRLS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR N.D.A. ACCORDING TO U.P.S.C. ONLY UNMARRIED MALE CANDIDATES ARE ELIGIBLE FOR N.D.A. EXAMINATION. Through N.D.A. you can go for the 3 wings of defense sector 1. Indian army 2. Indian navy 3. Indian air force If you are a science student then only you can join Indian navy and air force otherwise you can join only Indian army Eligibility criteria for N.D.A. exam is:- you should be citizen of INDIA. you should have complete your +2 from recommended board. your age should be in between 16.5-19 years. your minimum height should be in between 157.5cm you should be mentally physically strong. |

After passing graduation she have to qualify the C.D.S exam. C.D.S exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year. Candidate who pass the graduation in stream is eligible for this exam. Age of the candidate should be in between 19-24 year. Both unmarried male and female are eligible for C.D.S exam. It is conducted by the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) in India every year to recruit candidates for the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force. Now before I answer your query, I am going to list down the Basic Eligibility Criteria's to be able to sit for the NDA exam :- 1. You should be a minimum 12th pass from a recognized state board in India. 2. Your age should be within 16.5 years to 19 years as in the year of applying. No relaxations. 3. Only male Indian candidates can apply. Not for females. 4. One should be physically fit. 5. If applying for the Indian Navy or Air Force, one should have studied Maths and Physics as compulsory subjects. Now coming to your question, I am really sorry to state that you (girls) are not eligible for the NDA 1 or 2 exams. Its as specified in the rules and regulations. However girls can enter army later on after graduation by university entry scheme. So firstly you have to choose any good graduation stream, and then study it for the coming 3 years.
