Re: How commerce graduates can join Indian Army? Hello, I'm in BCom 4th sem and i have Scout & Guide "Pratham sopna" certificate and i secured 1st & 2nd division in matric & 2 examination. Re: How commerce graduates can join Indian Army? Hi friend......... CDS stands for Combined Defense Service. This exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission twice in a year. CDS - I CDS - II CDS exam has four wings:- ***Indian naval academy, ***Indian airforce academy, ***Indian military academy, ***Officer training academy. Eligibility criteria:- The candidate must have to complete graduation in any discipline from a recognised university. Final year exams appearing candidates may also eligible and there is no percentage restrictions for this exam. Male and female both are eligible for this exam. You must be a citizen of india. You should be physically fit. Age criteria:- ***For naval academy--> 19 to 22years, ***For airforce academy--> 19 to 23 years, ***for military academy-->19 to 24 years, ***For medicser training academy--> 19 to 25 years. ***No age relaxation. Selection process:- Written test, Personal interview. Medical Test All the best.............. |

CDS entrance examination conducted by UPSC twice every year as CDS-I and CDS-II for an entry in to Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officer's Training Academy of CDS. The eligible candidate aspiring to join Indian Army(IMA) of CDS, must be an Indian unmarried Male candidate having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 24 years with good Physical and Mental health. Re: How commerce graduates can join Indian Army? 1.CDS (Combined Defence Services ) Exam. After graduation a candidate from any stream can appear for this test. This test is organised by UPSC twice in a year. After clearing the written exam ,the selected candidate is called for SSB(Staff Selection Board) interview. |

The only way for you to get into the army as a commerce student is through the CDS examination Exam on February and September Age limit For IMA 19-24 Naval academy 19-22 Air force academy 19-23 OTA 19-25 You have to have atleast a degree of a recognized university |

Re: How commerce graduates can join Indian Army? freind hi, ]--the minimum eligibility for army selection is .. --you should be 12th pass....ie. should be at-least 17yrs old..... --so try for it when you cross 17th or your 12th standard board exams.... ]--) you can...... 1)join it as an sipahi after completing your 10th. 2) write the NDA exam after 12th and can become an officer . 3) write the CDS exam after completing your diploma or degree. --Physical Standards : The applicant should fulfill the following physical standards - Height should be 167 cms. Weight should be 50 kgs. Chest should be 77/82 cm. The general health should be free from all the communicable, infectious disease, medical or surgical deformities. all the best |

since you are a commerce student it will be difficult for you to crack the exams in which questions are based on physics, chemistry and maths. but still if you want to try then i must tell you that for nda exam you have crossed your age limit. but you can try in other exams conducted by upsc. you can get all the information about the exams on their official website www.upsc.gov.in |
