since you are a commerce student it will be difficult for you to crack the exams in which questions are based on physics, chemistry and maths. but still if you want to try then i must tell you that for nda exam you have crossed your age limit. but you can try in other exams conducted by upsc. you can get all the information about the exams on their official website

commerce graduates can easily join indian army.to join army UPSC conducts exam which you have to qualify.firstly there is written exam the candidates who pass it are called for physical and lastly comes the interview you have to go through these stages and achieve your goal.

sir iam 12th passed with comeerce with 70% marks,can i join in INDIAN ARMY?

Commerce graduate students are eligible to join Indian Army through CDS (Combine Defence Service) examination conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commition) twice in a year. Minimumeducational qualificatuon is to be graduate with any stream.

One can also join Indian Army through SSC (Short Service Commition) examination in whivh duration of service is ten years which can be extended to fourteen years and can be further more extended if perform exceptionally good. Minimumeducational qualification for thid exam is to be graduate in any descipline.

Definetly you are eligible to join India Army. Your NCC certificate will give you a pluse point for joining and they will prefer you over others during selection.

Commerce graduates can join Indian Army throuh CDS ( Combine Defence Service) examination conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commition) twice in a year.
Minimumeducational qualification for this Examination is to be Graduate in any stream. Students having Maths and Physics in final year of graduation are eligible to join Navy and Air force wing also.

Graduate students can also join through SSC (Short Service Commition) examination for whivh minimum educational qualification is graduate in any stream.

Its good to hear that you are quite dedicated towards serving your country.Its a good attitude that you are showing towards serving your country.Its a sign of true citizen.Well the first step you should take is you should prepare for CDS entrance exam.Once you get enrolled then you will have to go for 2 years of training period and then you will finally be an officer.An appreciable courage and thought towards your dedication for our country.

--you should be 12th pass....ie. should be at-least 17yrs old.....
--so try for it when you cross 17th or your 12th standard board exams....

]--) you can......
1)join it as an sipahi after completing your 10th.
2) write the NDA exam after 12th and can become an officer .
3) write the CDS exam after completing your diploma or degree.

--Physical Standards : The applicant should fulfill the following physical standards -

Height should be 167 cms.

Weight should be 50 kgs.
Chest should be 77/82 cm.
The general health should be free from all the communicable, infectious disease, medical or surgical deformities.

After graduation a candidate from any stream can appear for this test. This test is organised by UPSC twice in a year. After clearing the written exam ,the selected candidate is called for SSB(Staff Selection Board) interview.

Commerce Graduate can join Indian Army through CDS(Combined Defence Service) entrance exam.

CDS entrance examination conducted by UPSC twice every year as CDS-I and CDS-II for an entry in to Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officer's Training Academy of CDS.

The eligible candidate aspiring to join Indian Army(IMA) of CDS, must be an Indian unmarried Male candidate having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 24 years with good Physical and Mental health.

The selection is through written exam followed by Personal Interview along with Physical Fitness and Medical Test.

generally in army science students has a better scope but it is not impossible for commerce student to get entry in army

if any commerce student wants to join army on 12th basis then he will have to crack indian army exam thriugh nda

and if a commerce graduate wants to join army on graduation basis then he has following option
1.indian army
2.officer training academy

eligibility for officer training academy :
must have completed graduation from a recognized college
no marks required
age limit for indian army is 19-24 years
age limit for officers training academy is 19-25 years
graduation from any stream is allowed

so you have these scopes for joining army you can try for any

I'm in BCom 4th sem and i have Scout & Guide "Pratham sopna" certificate and i secured 1st & 2nd division in matric & 2 examination. I completed my 2 from science stream
So may i eligible to join indian army as major etc.
