IIM are the most sought after MBA colleges in INDIA. But to get admission in the IIM, you have to appear in the CAT exams first CAT exams are conducted by IIM Eligibilty to apply for the CAT exams is: Graduation pass in any stream with minimum 50% marks for General and OBC candidates and minimum 45% marks for the SC/ST candidates. Final year Graduation students can also apply To get calls from IIM, you have to get atleast 90 percentile marks in the CAT written tests if you belong to ST Category After this you would be called by IIM for the next rounds that is Group Discussion and Personal Interview. In CAT exams questions are asked from below sections: Verbal Ability Logical Reasoning Quantitative Ability Data Interpretation |

Hi If you are ST candidate, then you are given some relaxation in percentile To get into IIM A, B and C your percentile should be greater than 90 ( or 93 to get a call) To get into IIM L, K, I, your percentile should be greater than 83 ( 85+ to be sure) New IIMs, your percentile should be greater than 77 percentile These are approximate percentile and keep changing year to year. HI in order to get call from IIMs (both new and old) you need to score atleast 98+ percentile The older the IIM or higher the rank of IIM, more is the percentile required. For example for IIM A you need 99.8+ percentile IIM B, C you need 99.2+ IIM I, K, you need 98+ new IIMs 97+ Generally average salary after passing out from IIMs is around 11 lakhs per annum. it ranges from 7 lakhs to 40+ All the best |

 The acronym for IIM is Indian Institute of Management. The educational qualifications required for IIM examination are prescribed as below:- * Completion of graduation in any discipline with 50% marks from any recognised college or university. 45% marks for SC/ST contendors. * There is no upper age limit for applying CAT. To get admitted in IIM - Indian Institute of Management you need to get through the entrance test called CAT; CAT---common admission test It merely consists of an Objective type Exam, Group Discussion and Personal Interviews; Your score in CAT should be above 90% to get good IIM college. IIM - Indian Institute of Management conducts entrance exam called as CAT(Common Admission Test) for admission to 2 years Post Graduation MBA(Master of Business Administration) course in reputed institutions under IIM in India. The eligible candidate aspiring for CAT, must be an Indian Citizen having completed Graduation Degree in any stream with 50% marks(45% marks for SC/ST candidate) from a recognised University. Dear friend , To take admission in a IIM you must be having a graduate degree with an aggregate of 50%.you will have to score some really good marks in CAT since IIM's are best institutes of india.you should score above 98% percentile in the cat exam.I would advice you to join some coaching institute so that you can improve your time management skills since it is very important in CAT. wish you all the luck..... |

Hello friend,   * the candidate have to be a graduate * you should pursue your graduation from a recognized university * you should get at least 50% marks in graduation *SC/ST has the relaxation of 45% marks Firstly the candidates have to clear the entrance examination, which is accepted by the institute . Getting an admission IIM YOU HAVE TO score a decent marks in the Common admission test (CAT). The other popular MBA entrance examinations include XAT, GMAT, JMET or MAT etc.

Re: Minimum percentage required to get into IIM? You have only one way to get seat for IIM's.You can appear for CAT exam. Those candidate have completed graduation degree with above 50% marks are applicable for CAT exam but your degree must be recognized.For SC/ST candidate the percentage is 45 % in graduation. Final year student are applicable for This exam.There is no age limitation. This year CAT exam date already over so you can try for NEXT year. I have listed here the approximate CAT score cut off of IIM's.

Re: Minimum percentage required to get into IIM? For MBA from IIM you have to crack CAT entrance exam. IIM gives admission on the base of CAT. You have to qualify in that exam with at least 90 percentile. If you will qualify in that exam then you will have the opportunity to do MBA for IIM. |
