Yes there is a 5 years BA LLB program offered by many institutes after passing 12th standard. For the same you will have to entrance test for admission in various law schools. the eligibility criteria is for all the entrances is almost same that the candidate must have completed intermediate with minimum of 50% marks and the age of the candidate must not be more than 20 years. However some relaxation in the upper age limit and minimum marks in qualifying exam i.e. intermediate may be given to SC/ST/OBC/PD candidates.

The major law entrance tests are -
Common Law Admission Test (CLAT), All India Law Entrance Test (AILET), LSAT – India, Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) and Lloyd entrance test for law.

No extraordinary students are not required for such courses in fact for any course. Each course demands certain specific qualities which the candidate must have. Similarly you must posses these qualities for law courses also.
some of the Important things that you must check out are -
-You must have good presentation skills and communication skills.
-you must be full of self confidence
-you must be quick in assimilating and analyzing facts
-You may have to for a lot of reading for the same
-You must keep yourself updated about new laws or changes in laws.
-there are many types of lawyers one of these types is criminal lawyers If you are wishing to becoming a criminal lawyer then you may have to face threats by criminals

Re: Can I apply for LLB after passing 12th?

Yes, you can apply for LLB after 12th class as the eligibility criteria for the same is as under-

1. One should have a B.A / BSc / B.com degree with a minimum of 40% marks in aggregate and 35% for SC/ST candidates. There is also a 2% Weightage for the post graduate degree holders.

2. For seeking admission in this law course the students have to give an entrance test and a personal interview.

After the completion of the LLB degree the students can opt for profession in one of the two fields in law as criminal lawyer or a civil lawyer. They can also find the job in the private and the public sector organizations.

There is no such criteria regarding this course that an extra ordinary student or average student can pursue this course. Its all about a students ability & interest through which HE can go for this course. But the student must not be an introvert type.So If you have a good communication skill, good interest in this course then definitely you can go for it.
