Re: What is the age limit to join IIM's? Hi, There is no age criteria to take up your studies. At any age you can study and get degrees if you are passionate about it. To join MBA in IIM's you should get top score in CAT common entrance exam. once you get a top score, you can choose your preferred institute to go forward. choice will be in your hand. |

The basic requirement to get entry into it is that the candidate should have passed graduation in any stream with minimum 50% marks relaxation 5% for SC/ST candidates. and you must have a valid CAT score for getting entry into top IIM's. Try to hard work in English vocabulary, grammar and comprehension. There are almost 13 IIM's in india situated allover in India. 1. Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad 2. But after that I prepared for civil service Examination and I improved my knowledge, my father is an ex service man and I've OBC certificate , am I eligible for cat ? I'm so eager to appear in cat to do mba. |

Dear friend There is no age limit or criteria in order to pursue MBA course from IIMs. The only way to pursue MBA course from IIMs is by cracking CAT (Common Aptitude Test) Exam. In order to be eligible for this exam, one should have completed Graduation with a minimum of 50% of marks. There is a relaxation in the percentage of marks upto 5% for the candidates of SC/ST category. So, you need to excel in CAT Exam in the sense you need to secure high percentile in CAT Exam. Thereafter you have to give good performance in the group discussion and personal interview too to get admission for MBA course in IIMs. So,you should have strong preparation for the CAT Exam and then you can crack the CAT exam.For this academic year,the last date to register for CAT Exam was already over.So,this year you can not appear for the CAT Exam. so,its nothing like age criteia in this exam. I have seen many of age more than 35 years, pursuing MBA at IIM. so,only thing that is necessary is, you need to crack CAT , in order to get admission, which is taken every year in NOV-DEC. The eligibility for appearing in the exam includes 1. The aspirant should have completed bachelor degree from a recognised university. The aspirant should have secured a minimum of 50% in the degree course. There is no age limit for appearing in the exam. You need to get good score in the CAT exam . The selection process involves written aptitude exam followed by group discussion and personnel interview. The selected aspirant must submit the degree certificate during the interview process. Final year aspirant can submit a copy along with a letter attested by the head of the institution |

Here, people from different backgroungs take admission and pursue their MBA here. Some of them have more than 15-20 years of experience. so,its nothing like age criteia in this exam. I have seen many of age more than 35 years, pursuing MBA at IIM. so,only thing that is necessary is, you need to crack CAT , in order to get admission, which is taken every year in NOV-DEC.
