Re: What are the various streams in Science?

Hai friend....

You have completed SSC, it's good. I appreciate you because the question you have asked about the streams of Science shows your interest towards Science and also tells how much you care about your career. And, i think it's the right time for you to know this because what all methods you implement now and concentrate will exactly reflect on your future. So, keep it up! and plan accordingly by taking the suggestions from your seniors.

After 10th standard, there are various other streams related to Science.
1). MPC (Maths, Physics, Chemistry): It's partially related to science
2). BiPC (Biology, Physics, Chemistry): It's completely related to science

I think you better you with BiPC because i feel you are very much interested in this field. And, you also check the marks of yours in science subject in SSC. On that, you better decide about what should be taken.

WISH YOU SUCCESS!

Dear Aspirant,

We cannot jot down all the courses names here since there are number of courses available under the name SCIENCE.

Since the world is full of science so there are many subjects for studying.Any thing which is useful for the living hood is comes under the science.

Because everything is most important source in this world. So the courses are more.

But in the simple way i can say that there are only few types of classification of science.By which it becomes easy for you to choose.

The science which is studied with the physical form but it is not a living form.
and the other is the science which is studied with the physical form but it is a living form.

Another exceptional science which is a physical form but it is imaginary.Nothing but which the NASA scientists work on the planets and etc.

These are the only form of science which are available in the world.

Hope this info helps you.

All the best for your future endeavor's.

Re: What are the various streams in Science?

Yes. You can get into Science field after completion of your 10th class. There are number of courses that you can join in Science field.

As you are interested to join Science stream, I suggest you to opt for Bi.P.C stream in your 10+2.

In this course, you will come across the subjects

Botany
Zoology
Physics
Chemistry

Once you complete your 10+2, you will be eligible to join number of courses like

MBBS
BDS
Veterinary
Pharmacy courses like
-D.Pharmacy
-B.Pharmacy
B.Sc Nursing
B.Sc Agriculture etc.

All these are valuable courses for the candidates to have great career.

You can also join 3 year Graduation level courses in B.Sc with any of the following subjects
Biotechnology
Microbiology
Botany
Zoology
Bio-Informatics
Bio-Chemistry
Genetics etc.

But, in India it is somewhat difficult to settle in life by opting for Science related courses when compared to other courses.

Keep this in mind and opt for the respective course accordingly.

Wish you all the best.

Re: What are the various streams in Science?

You can either study bio science or pure science. The former consists of the subject combinations like physics, chemistry and biology. For the latter the subject combination is physics, chemistry and mathematics. If you want to be a doctor or want to pursue a bio-related course then you should go for the combination with biology in it. Otherwise for becoming an engineer its better to go for the second combination.

Good luck

Re: What are the various streams in Science?

hi....!!!

There are two types of science studies at +2 level.

Pure Science: this contains subject combination of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics popularly known as PCM + further 2 - 3 subject out of which one should be language etc. that doesn't matters. The thing makes it 'Pure Science' is Mathematics.
Impure Science: this contains subject combination of Physics, Chemistry and Biology popularly known as PCB + further 2 - 3 subject out of which one should be language etc. that doesn't matters. The thing makes it 'Impure Science' is Biology.
About Pure Science

It is generally opted by candidates, wants to become an Engineer. Thats because for becoming an Engineer Mathematics is the basic requirement.

thanks ...all the best....

Re: What are the various streams in Science?

hello friend...!!

science is divided into two parts:-
one is non-medical(PCM) i.e.physics,chemistry and mathematics.
second id medical(PCB) i.e.physics,chemistry and biology.

Pure Science consists of Physics, Chemistry, Maths (PCM) as the main subjects.
It is mainly preferable by those who are interested in doing 'engineering' in future..

Bio-science consists of Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) as the main subjects.
It is mostly preferred by them, who want to join medical in their graduation.

Re: What are the various streams in Science?

Now-a-days, science is not only a mere 'science' stream(PCMB)...it has also been divided into many sub-streams like:

Pure science, Bio-science, Eco-science etc.

Eco-Science consists of an extra or additional subject Geography.. It is for those who are interested in Geography but equally interested in other science subjects.
This is a new field and their demand is also increasing.

and if you take only science i.e., Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Biology (PCMB), then you can go for any one field between, engineering and medical.

So choose a stream which will be appropriate for you........
