the various streams in Science There are two types of science studies at +2 level. Pure Science: this contains subject combination of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics popularly known as PCM + further 2 - 3 subject out of which one should be language etc. that doesn't matters. The thing makes it 'Pure Science' is Mathematics. Impure Science: this contains subject combination of Physics, Chemistry and Biology popularly known as PCB + further 2 - 3 subject out of which one should be language etc. that doesn't matters. The thing makes it 'Impure Science' is Biology. Science Colleges: Same colleges gained access to top three slots in science stream excluding LSR, Delhi. In the Science stream, MCC, Chennai, occuped the top slot once (2003) in 12 years. good luck |

Two streams are there in science. One stream includes Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. Second stream includes Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Computer Science. Languages are included in both of these streams. Both of these streams are capable of offering good career options.

Now-a-days, science is not only a mere 'science' stream(PCMB)...it has also been divided into many sub-streams like:
Pure science, Bio-science, Eco-science etc. Pure Science consists of Physics, Chemistry, Maths (PCM) as the main subjects. It is mainly preferable by those who are interested in doing 'engineering' in future.. Bio-science consists of Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) as the main subjects. It is mostly preferred by them, who want to join medical in their graduation. Eco-Science consists of an extra or additional subject Geography.. It is for those who are interested in Geography but equally interested in other science subjects. This is a new field and their demand is also increasing. and if you take only science i.e., Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Biology (PCMB), then you can go for any one field between, engineering and medical. So choose a stream which will be appropriate for you........ |
