Re: What should I do to become a CBI officer after 12th? To become an CBI officer, you have to complete graduation min 55% marks from a recognized university. Both male and female candidates are eligible to become an CBI officer but the candidate should be citizen of india. The candidate age should be between 20 to 27 years. The age relaxation for sc/st and obc candidates. |

Re: What should I do to become a CBI officer after 12th? first you should be graduate that is you should have degree as a qualification Education Qualification Must have a Bachelor's Degree from a Recognised University Two different agencies conduct examinations to fill vacancies in CBI. They are UPSC and SSC. To become a group A officer in CBI, you must choose Civil Service Examination conducted by UPSC and become an IPS officer. To join as Sub Inspector in CBI, you must go through SSC CGL examination. |

You can become SI (Sub-Inspector) in CBI if you crack these exams. But first of all , you have to do graduation. > You should secure at least 50% marks in graduation from any recognized University. > Your age should not exceed 25 years. The exam is conducted in three tiers, >> Written Exam (MCQ questions generally) >> Main Exam >> Personality Test/Interview After this, candidate has to undergo PET (Physical Endurance Test) /Medical Examination. Scheme Of Examination:- The exam takes place in three tiers:
Physical Endurance Test (PET)/ Medical Examination is also conducted after the declaration of the result of the first tier exam. It is important to pass in this test as well to be considered for the CBI officer post. For the exam mainly objective type questions in the form of multiple choice questions will come. In both the written exam same kind of questions will come. For the first tier you will get two hours and there will be four sections to complete. In the second tier exam there will be two sections of 200 marks total. Areas of weightage for first tier exam: General Intelligence-Reasoning, General Awareness, Numerical Aptitude an dEnglish Comprehension. CBI recruits Sub-inspectors through the Staff Selection Commission (SSC), which publishes its recruitment notice in Employment News and other leading dailies. CBI also inducts officers in the ranks of Inspector of Police and above from the State and Union Territory Police forces on deputation. Non-police officers are also taken on deputation in CBI. The age criteria is 20 years wheras, the maximum age limit is 27 years with relaxation of upto 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC. I am sorry to say that you can't join C.I.D after passing 12th.. If you want to join C.I.D then you have to pass the graduation with minimum 50% marks with any stream from recognized university..
