You know what i have been disturbing by thinking bba bca because iam little weak in maths and economics so the decision of course is not made since today but i got a special energy or boost from your message those who said that arts is not good for bca they are really fear from the reality . I think ur words gives the inspirition for all the people like me to take anything to challange . I think we all have have to hope for the best.never say never? Right mr veeru and thanks |

U will have to try for admission in any open universities or any institute who provide Bca classes as a degree program. here is an address of an institute where u may get admission without having math in 12th. or having other stream. Re: BCA after 12th in Arts? Hi BCA is the Bachelor of Computer Application course. Its a 3 year long full time graduation course. It has various types of computer operations, various programming languages like C, C++, JAVA etc... The Basic Criteria to study BCA is : 1. You should be a minimum 12th pass from a recognized school or board with a minimum 50% aggregate in it. 2. You should have studied Mathematics as a compulsory subject if you want to take up BCA as your graduation. >>> But as you say, that you have done your 12th in ARTS side, I am really sorry but if you have not studied Mathematics as one of your major subjects in Class 12th HS, then you will not be allowed to study BCA in any college. ** It would be advisable that you take up some short term maths course which is certified, or you look for career options in the Arts stream. Sorry friend you do not have math back ground so i think you are not eligible for that but do not worry some institute give computer course degree like NIIT,IIHT,GNIT,IIJT .. contact with theses institute and do as your heart say ..details about SMU see the website . www.smu.edu. good luck |

Re: BCA after 12th in Arts? Yes surely you can do BCA after 12 arts. Mathematics is not mandatory subject for BCA. You can pursue BCA if you have scored a minimum of 50% in your 10+2. A student of any stream can pursue BCA. Mathematics becomes mandatory when you want to do MCA without BCA at graduation level. So you are eligible to pursue BCA, all the best. |

HELLO,yah you are absolutely eligible for bca.enormous joined the bca rather than they have qualified 12th with arts, commerce, science.remember one thing in yor life that if you have eagerness,will to achieve your goal then no carrier can stop you to get your destination.you can chose bca but if you have decided to do mca then it's compulsary to get admission in mca that one must have qualified 12th with maths.no problem you can take maths paper,qualified that & attach the result with your 12th(arts) marksheet.& groom yor future via mca.pay extra efforts & attention to bca subjects. HELLO,remember one thing in your life if you have strong strong desire & will to achieve your aim then no carrier can stop you to get your goal.you have asked about admission in smu,so if you have decided to opt for bca then go for it there is no restrictions to any stream student to chose bca.but you have pay more attention on some selected subjects in bca.you have to give extra time for mathematical calculations in the subject.if you are deciding to do mca after bca.now it's compulsary that one must have maths background in class 12th, then you have to give 12th maths paper,& attach the marksheet alongwith your 12th(arts) marksheet.and you can chose your carrier via mca. OK,BEST OF LUCK. |

For BCA maths is compulsory subject, if you dont have maths in your 12th exams, then you are not eligible to do this course. Beacuse Maths is compulsory for BCA. Without Maths knowledge, you can't handle this course. So, according to my knowledge, 12th Arts student are not eligible for BCA courses. So, please try some other courses, there are manny courses availiable for Arts students. |

There are also some of the subjects are related to the computer application,it will also create problem for you... So better to think somethink different,Which suites your 12th subjects.if you have good concept in math & if you have computer application in 12th label then you can do BCA. have a good day. |

To pursue MCA, most institutes require candidates to have maths as a main subject in their 10(+2).. So i can't assure you to go further with this field but if you have strong determination to go for this career you can pursue MCA from some open universities where they won't require maths in 10(+2)..
