Qualification required for the position of Clerk in a Bank Educational Qualifications: Degree (Graduation) any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. Computer Literacy: Operating and working knowledge in computer systems is mandatory i.e. candidates should have Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/Language/ should have studied Computer / Information Technology as one of the subjects in the High School/College/Institute. |

Minimum qualification for SBI, Clerical exam is 12th pass with 60% marks from a recognised Board. Apart from this the eligible candidate must be an Indian National having completed Graduation Degree from any stream from any recognuised University within the age of 18 to 28 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candiadate with good knowledge over computer operation, can apply for SBI, Clerical exam. Minimum qualification for IBPS Clerical exam, is Graduation Degree in any stream from recognised University. Apart from this the eligible candidate must be an Indian Citizen within the age of 20 to 28 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate having good command over computer operation, can apply for IBPS Clerical Exam. Hi, In bank clerk jobs now a days graduation has made mandatory for applicants. Like for IBPS , which is responsible to conduct the bank exams for 20 public banks. It requires minimum graduation while earlier it used to consider intermediate pass for bank clerk exams. However, State Bank of India and its associates still take intermediate pass candidates, but with 60% marks for clerical jobs. Details for bank clerk jobs ~~ IBPS requires graduation with any discipline from a recognised university. The age required for IBPS bank clerk exam is 20 years to 28 years. SBI requires intermediate with 60% marks from a recognised board. The age required for SBI clerk jobs is 18 years to 28 years. You will have to apper for the Bank Clerk entrance exam which is conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Services (IBPS). This exam is conducted twice a year. First time it is held in March while second time towards the end of the year. The notification is issued by the Institute of Banking Personnel Services for the next Bank Clerk entrance exam. If you are interested then visit their official website - www.ibps.in and then apply for the Clerk exam. IBPS conducts Clerical exam on the behalf of 20 Public Sector banks. Which means that if cleared the exam, the job offered would be as good as government job. After all PSU banks are controlled by the government. IBPS Clerk Eligibility 1. You should be Indian citizen to appear for it. 2. Must have completed graduation degree. 3. There is no criteria for marks. 4. Must have diploma/degree/certificate in Computers. 5. Computer Science/IT subject in high school or college will also be accepted. 6. Certificate in Computer Operations should be of at least 6 months duration. 7. The age limit is 20 to 28 years for the Clerical exam. 8. There is 3 years relaxation for OBC. 9. While for SC and ST, there is 5 years relaxation. 10. Person with Disability will get 10 years relaxation. So take admission into Graduation course from a good college and after completion you will be eligible for Bank Clerk job through IBPS exam. The age limit for Clerk in Bank is 18 to 28 years for General category students. Age relaxation for 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category is available. Selection Procedure: -There will be objective type paper which will have negative marking for wrong answers. There will be questions from Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, General Awareness, Computer and English Comprehension. -You have to pass in each section and clear overall cut off marks to get a call for Interview. Interview will also carry some marks for final merit. -Those who are in merit will get selected for the Clerical post. On the other hand, 12th class qualified candidates with 50% marks can also apply for the same. Maximum age limit for this post is 28 years. You have to qualify bank written examination so as to appear for personal interview as part of selection. |

NOW nationalized banks are recruiting clerks through ibps... IBPS (INDIAN BANKING PERSONNEL SELECTION) conducts the common written examination twice in a year..... once the candidate qualifies the written exam, he can attend for the interview of any of these 19 banks.... The rank card issued by IBPS is valid for 1 year.... After releasing the written results , banks releases separate notifications for the recruitment by specifying the cutoff marks in the written examination......... then candidate has to apply if eligible....next the bank releases a list of the candidates selected for the interview........ All the best........ |

For Clerk job Bank Clerical Cadre examination is conducted from time to time, inviting entries from time to time for the post of Clerk. Eligibility :- ~ Minimum qualification is +2 with at least 60% (55% for SC/ST etc.) ~ Graduation degree in any subject with at least 40% marks (35% fro SC/ST etc.) ~ If not done +2 but diploma in any stream after 10th , then also you are eligible. (Full time diploma of at least 2 years duration is eligible. Part-time not eligible ) ~Minimum age : 18 years ~Maximum age :28 years ~~>> There is no fixed date for the employment exams , keep checking newspapers for the same I have attached a document which contains all the specific eligibility criteria ,their contact info and exam syllabus for different banks.
