For Clerk job Bank Clerical Cadre examination is conducted from time to time, inviting entries from time to time for the post of Clerk.

Eligibility :-

~ Minimum qualification is +2 with at least 60% (55% for SC/ST etc.)

~ Graduation degree in any subject with at least 40% marks (35% fro SC/ST etc.)

~ If not done +2 but diploma in any stream after 10th , then also you are eligible.
(Full time diploma of at least 2 years duration is eligible. Part-time not eligible )

~Minimum age : 18 years

~Maximum age :28 years

~~>> There is no fixed date for the employment exams , keep checking newspapers for the same

NOW nationalized banks are recruiting clerks through ibps...

IBPS (INDIAN BANKING PERSONNEL SELECTION) conducts the common written examination twice in a year.....

once the candidate qualifies the written exam, he can attend for the interview of any of these 19 banks....

The rank card issued by IBPS is valid for 1 year....


After releasing the written results , banks releases separate notifications for the recruitment by specifying the cutoff marks in the written examination.........

then candidate has to apply if eligible....next the bank releases a list of the candidates selected for the interview........

You must pass Graduation to become eligible for IBPS clerical examination.

So take admission into Graduation course from a good college and after completion you will be eligible for Bank Clerk job through IBPS exam.

The age limit for Clerk in Bank is 18 to 28 years for General category students.

Age relaxation for 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category is available.

Selection Procedure:

-There will be objective type paper which will have negative marking for wrong answers. There will be questions from Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, General Awareness, Computer and English Comprehension.

-You have to pass in each section and clear overall cut off marks to get a call for Interview. Interview will also carry some marks for final merit.

You will have to apper for the Bank Clerk entrance exam which is conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Services (IBPS). This exam is conducted twice a year. First time it is held in March while second time towards the end of the year.

In bank clerk jobs now a days graduation has made mandatory for applicants.

Like for IBPS , which is responsible to conduct the bank exams for 20 public banks. It requires minimum graduation while earlier it used to consider intermediate pass for bank clerk exams.

However, State Bank of India and its associates still take intermediate pass candidates, but with 60% marks for clerical jobs.
