Re: Can I get a government job after B.Com graduation course? Yes. You are eligible to apply for Government jobs after completion of your B.Com course. Some of them will be as follows Bank Po and Clerk jobs of public sector banks. For this you have to crack IBPS Exam being conducted by once in a year. You should have scored a minimum of 60% of marks in your B.Com course to apply for PO positions and completion of Graduation is okay to apply for Clerical positions. Age should be 20-28 years for General category. Relaxation in upper age limit upto 3 years for the candidates of OBC category and upto 5 years for the candidates of SC or ST category. You can apply for several UPSC Exams like CDS Exam if you want to make entry into the following defence services Indian Military Academy Indian Naval Academy Indian Air Force Academy Officers Training Academy etc. Civil Services Exam if you want to be placed in any of the following civil services like Indian Administrative Service Indian Police Service Indian Foreign Service etc. You can also apply for Group Exams that are conducted in your state. But the thing is you should have strong preparation towards the selection procedure to get a Government job as because of healthy competition. Wish you all the best. |

 Yes, you can get a government job like in banking and civil service sectors after your graduation. The educational qualification regarding with Government jobs are below mentioned:- 1. In Banking Sector:- * A candidate must have finished graduation in any discipline from any recognised college/university. * Nationality- Indian. * Age criteria- 20-28 years(Clerk) and 20-30 years(PO). * Age relaxation- 3 years(OBC), 5 years(SC/ST) and 10 years(PWD). 2. However since you completed the graduation in 2006, the only issue could be age limit. The age limit to apply for government jobs is 30 years. If you can meet the age criteria then there are several options. Civil Service Examination You can apply for Indian Police Service or Indian Administrative Service through Civil Service Examination. To appear for the exam, candidate should have a graduation degree. The role of IPS officer is to maintain law and order while IAS officer implements government policies. Eligibility 1. You should be of Indian origin. 2. Bachelor degree in any stream. 3. There is no percentage criteria. 4. Age limit is 21 to 30 years. 5. There is 3 years relaxation for OBC. 6. There is 5 years relaxation for SC/ST. Banking Jobs Institute of Banking Personnel Services (IBPS) conducts two entrance exam on the behalf on 19 Public Sector Banks that are also known as government banks. You can apply for both the entrance exams. After clearing any of the two, you can apply for job in PSU banks in state of your choice. This is the option given to the candidate. IBPS Clerk Exam Eligibility 1. You should have completed graduation. 2. Diploma/Degree in Computers or IT/Computers should be subject in High School/college. 3. Hi, I am very happy to inform you are eligible for many government jobs after your B.Com graduation.But the only problem is that you have to meet the prescribed age limitations. you are eligible to write the bank clerical as well as probationary officers.you can prepare for civil services and you can also write the group service examinations.you can also have the opportunity to join the armed forces.you may try your luck in the various railway exams.basing on your interest you have a large number of opportunities to join in the government jobs. Though you can go for govt, jobs like- 1.BANK PO exam. 2.Defense service exams like- CDS 3.Loco pilot in railways 4.UPSC conducted civil service exams like- IAS, IPS etc.. Re: Can I get a government job after B.Com graduation course? yes you are eligible for bank clerical examination. clearing entrance examination is must for getting govt BANK jobs. 1.Eligibility for apply in the bank A.graduation from recognized university with atleast 50% marks B.age-between 21 to 28. 2.govt time to time publish their vacancy in employment newspaper (comes weekly)and other newspapers. Read them regularly. 3.question paper consist of questions related to Quantitative aptitude English reasoning General awareness and computer EACH TOPIC COVER AT LEAST 50 QUESTIONS. 4. It is around 90min to 2.5 hours It all depend on the banks some bank paper are of 90min only whereas some banks paper examination are of 2.5 hours. 5. if you find difficult you can take coaching for examination. |

But for every govt. job there is an age limit regarding every exam.So whenever you are appearing for any exam you must know all the eligibilty regarding that & then follow the procedure ahead. Here are many government jobs which you can apply for after completing B.Com. You can opt for the bank jobs by attending the IBPS bank exams. You can apply for positions like Bank PO, Clerk etc. There are many competitive examinations which you can attend which may be mainly conducted by UPSC or SSC after completing B.Com.
