Dear aspirant, NET stands for National Eligibility Test.NET is conducted for lectureship or junior research ship.This exam is conducted by twice in year june and december.NET is conducted by UPSC.If you have your post graduation you can write this exam as many times as possible. ----------------------------------------- ALL THE BEST |

Re: How many times NET exam is conducted in a year? Dear Monika, The NET Exam is conducted twice in a year by the University Grants Commission [UGC]. The Full Form of NET is National Eligibility Test. This Test is conducted for the selection of candidates for the below mentioned posts : 1) Lectureship 2) Junior research Fellowship The University Grants Commission conducts the NET Exam in the months of June and December every year. The Qualifications required for the NET Examination are : ** The candidate must have completed Post Graduation in any stream from any UGC recognized university. ** The candidate must have secured a minimum of 55% marks in Post Graduation. ** The candidate must not have any pending backlogs. ** Candidates in final year of Post Graduation are considered eligible. ** A relaxation of 5% marks is given to SC/ST Candidates. ** No relaxation in marks is granted to OBC Candidates by the UGC. ** There is no age limit for the Lectureship post. ** The age limit for the JRF post is 21-28 years. ** Age Relaxation : a) 3 years granted for OBC Candidates. b) 5 years granted for SC/ST Candidates. ** The candidate must be an Indian. Re: How many times NET exam is conducted in a year? Hai, NET-NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY TEST, NET exam is conducted two times in every year i.e in the month of june and december. So if you want to apply NET exam then apply in june month of this year. All the best. |

National Eligiblity Test and this examination is conducted by UGC Twice in a year.The NET Examination is conducted twice a year.The examination is generally done in the month of June and December every year. Eligibility : Must have got at least 55% marks in Master’s Degree OR equivalent examination from universities recognised by UGC in Humanities and Social Sciences, Computer Science & Applications, Electronic Science Prefinal year students are also eligible to apply for the exam. You should not be more than 28 years A relaxation upto 5 years is provided to the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PH/VH categories and to women applicants. There is no upper age limit for lectureship. Examination Pattern It consist of three papers. Paper-I :: It is of general nature for assessing the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate. It is conducted to test :: reasoning ability comprehension divergent thinking general awareness. Paper-II :: Its consist of objective questions based on the subject selected by the candidate. Paper-III ::will consist of only descriptive questions from the subject selected by the candidate. |
