For NET/SLET exam you have to pass your post graduation with minimum 55% of marks (5% relaxation is given to reserved category students) It consists 3 paper's. 1st paper is common for all. It includes teaching and research aptitude, reasoning, data interpretation, EVS, polity n higher education system, computer, passage etc. Now 1st paper will have only 50 MCQ and all are compulsory. 2nd and 3rd paper is related to your particular subjects consisting 50 and 75 questions respectively. Regarding this paper pattern you can start your preparation for NET/ JRF. You can solve previous years question papers also so that you come to know the types of questions and sometimes various questions got repeated also so this will be beneficial for you. |

Re: Qualifications required for SET NET exam? Dear Friend, The Acronym "SET" stands for State Eligibility Test. And The Acronym "NET" stands for the National Eligibility Test. The State Eligibility Test is considered as the copy of the National eligibility Test or better say NET Exam conducted by the respective state Governments instead of the University Grants Commission is known as the State Eligibility Test. Both the NET and the SET are conducted for the below mentioned posts : a) Lectureship b) Junior Research Fellowship The Qualifications Required for NET/SET Exam are : * You must have completed Post Graduation in any stream from any recognized university. * Your must have secured a minimum of 55% marks in Post Graduation. * You can also apply if you are in the final year of Post Graduation. * Age Limitations : a) There is no age limit for the post of Lectureship. b) Your age must lie in between 21-28 years. c) You will also get a relaxation of 5 years if you belong to SC/ST Category. * Nationality : You Must be an Indian. The NET/SET Exam is conducted as per the below mentioned pattern :  This is the information i have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. The notifications announcing the June and December examinations are published in the months of March and September respectively in the weekly Employment News. so you can apply for june month NET...... the eligibility criteria for NET is M.Sc or equivalent degree under the subjects mentioned above, with minimum 55% marks for General and OBC candidates and 50% for SC/ST candidates, Physically and Visually Handicapped candidates and Ph.D. |

There are chances for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) along with their eligibility of Lectureship. The candidates would require a post graduation in any discipline. Also, the candidates must have scored 55% When regarding about SC/ST/VH/PH they should have 50% in Post Graduation. The JRF Candidates must have attained 28 years and for other candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PH/VH will get 5 years relaxation. The exam will have 3 papers with first paper consisting of General Nature, second paper will be the paper selected by the candidate of his/her post graduation. Third paper will contain about descriptive in nature. The candidates can apply for the exam if they satisfy the eligibility Criteria. They can apply online through the official website of UGC, http://www.ugc.ac.in . > SET - State Eligibility Test This exam is also conducted by UGC, but the exam is conducted only within the specified state. The candidate must have done their respected post graduation from a recognized university by UGC. The candidate must secure 50%. The candidates who are writing their final degree exam or waiting for the results also apply for the exam. MCM Candidates are not at all eligible for the exams The candidate must appear with the subject of their post graduation only. NET stands for National Eligiblity Test SET stands for State Eligiblity Test * NET exam conduct by UGC (University Grant Commission) every year two times and SET exam conduct by State government every year. To apply for the NET/SET exam,you need to fulfill the given criteria.. Qualification for NET Exam :- * In the NET exam,for Lectruership minimum age is 21 years and in maximum,there is no limit to apply and for JRF exam age should comes between 21 to 28 years. * You should have complete postgraduate degree with any stream from a recognized university. * Minimum 55% marks should be there in your postgraduation. * If you comes in reserve category then marks should be minimum 50%. * If you are in the final year of postgraduation then you can apply for the exam. * In the net exam you should select the postgraduation subject only. Qualification for SET Exam :- * For SET exam,there is no upper age limit. * You should have master degree from a recognized university. * M.C.M students are not allowed to appear in the SET exam. * You should have minimum 55% marks in Master degree, for reserve category this is 50%. * If you are pursuing final year of master degree course are also eligible to appy for exam. * For SET exam you have to select only post graduation subject . |

CSIR-UGC NET Exam for Science stream is conducted by CSIR in the following areas Chemical Sciences Earth Sciences Life Sciences Mathematical Sciences Physical Sciences ELIGIBLITY For Junior Research Fellowship - Not more than 28 years. A relaxation upto 5 years is provided to SC, ST and for OBC candidates. For Lectureship - There is no upper age limit for applying for lectureship. If you have Master’s Degree with 55% from universities recognised by UGC. Final year students are also take the exam. |
