NET exams are conducting twice a year, i.e., in the months of June and December by UGC. The notifications announcing the June and December examinations are published in the months of March and September respectively in the weekly Employment News.
so you can apply for june month NET...... the eligibility criteria for NET is M.Sc or equivalent degree under the subjects mentioned above, with minimum 55% marks for General and OBC candidates and 50% for SC/ST candidates, Physically and Visually Handicapped candidates and Ph.D. A candidate can also apply for the Test under RA (Result Awaited) category, if he/she is appearing or has appeared in his/her final year (III/IV Semester where Semester system is there) of M.Sc. or equivalent degree examination in subjects mentioned in above. Such candidates will have to submit the attestation format (given at the reverse of the application form) duly certified by the Head of the Deptt./Institute over his/her signature and rubber stamp (with address and name) from where the candidate is appearing or has appeared in the final year M.SC or equivalent degree examination. However, such candidates shall be admitted to the Test provisionally. They shall only be considered eligible for JRF-(NET)/LS-(NET), if they are able to produce the proof of having passed the Master’s Degree examination in the relevant or related subject with the requisite percentage of marks and within the stipulated time frame. |

CSIR-UGC NET Exam for Science stream is conducted by CSIR in the following areas
Chemical Sciences Earth Sciences Life Sciences Mathematical Sciences Physical Sciences ELIGIBLITY For Junior Research Fellowship - Not more than 28 years. A relaxation upto 5 years is provided to SC, ST and for OBC candidates. For Lectureship - There is no upper age limit for applying for lectureship. If you have Master’s Degree with 55% from universities recognised by UGC. Final year students are also take the exam. |

I didi my graduation in fashion designing with 67% and MBA in disign managment from annamalai university with 56%, so can i apply for net set exam and which subject i have to select. can u please tell me about it....

NET stands for National Eligiblity Test
SET stands for State Eligiblity Test * NET exam conduct by UGC (University Grant Commission) every year two times and SET exam conduct by State government every year. To apply for the NET/SET exam,you need to fulfill the given criteria.. Qualification for NET Exam :- * In the NET exam,for Lectruership minimum age is 21 years and in maximum,there is no limit to apply and for JRF exam age should comes between 21 to 28 years. * You should have complete postgraduate degree with any stream from a recognized university. * Minimum 55% marks should be there in your postgraduation. * If you comes in reserve category then marks should be minimum 50%. * If you are in the final year of postgraduation then you can apply for the exam. * In the net exam you should select the postgraduation subject only. Qualification for SET Exam :- * For SET exam,there is no upper age limit. * You should have master degree from a recognized university. * M.C.M students are not allowed to appear in the SET exam. * You should have minimum 55% marks in Master degree, for reserve category this is 50%. * If you are pursuing final year of master degree course are also eligible to appy for exam. * For SET exam you have to select only post graduation subject . |

The exam is conducted by UGC (University Grants Commission). There are chances for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) along with their eligibility of Lectureship. The candidates would require a post graduation in any discipline. Also, the candidates must have scored 55% When regarding about SC/ST/VH/PH they should have 50% in Post Graduation. The JRF Candidates must have attained 28 years and for other candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PH/VH will get 5 years relaxation. The exam will have 3 papers with first paper consisting of General Nature, second paper will be the paper selected by the candidate of his/her post graduation. Third paper will contain about descriptive in nature. The candidates can apply for the exam if they satisfy the eligibility Criteria. They can apply online through the official website of UGC, http://www.ugc.ac.in . > SET - State Eligibility Test This exam is also conducted by UGC, but the exam is conducted only within the specified state. The candidate must have done their respected post graduation from a recognized university by UGC. The candidate must secure 50%. I have completed my M.A. but do not have score more than 55 % as required for NET/SET ...I have completed my B.Ed. with 70 % marks..? Is there any provision to appear for NET SET exam on the basis of B.Ed. ?
