Dear Friend,



The Minimum Qualifications required for the Civil Services Exam so that you can ecom an IAS Officer are :

* You should have completed your graduation from any university recognized by the UGC.

* Your age should lie in between 21-30 years.

* Age relaxation of 3 years is alloted for OBC Catgeory and 5 years for SC/ST Category.

* You must have Indian Nationality.

these are the toughest exams at competitve levels hence age limits and no. of attempts is also limited.

Hello,
For appearing in IAS exam you must have to be a graduate in any discipline from any recognized university.
There will be an age limit that is 21-30 years for the general candidate and 5% relaxation for the reserved candidates.
IAS exam conducted by UPSC every years and it has two phases that is Preliminaries and mains. If you have qualified for the Preliminaries then you will be call for the mains.

This exam is conducted every year to recruite IAS,IPS,IFS
officers.
The exam is conducted in 2 stages:-
1) Preliminary and

General candidates have 4 attempts.

if you are applying the IAS entrance exam then you should have minimum qualification of graduation degree.your age should be
for general-21-28 year and attemp only 4 times
for obc 21- 31 year and can attemp only 7 time
for sc/st 21-35 year and no time is limit

To become an IAS officer you will have to give civil service exam which is conduct every year by UPSC.

For IAS exam you must have graduate degree in any stream from recognised university.
Age should be minimum 21 and maximum 30 years for general categories.
Relaxation for obc is 3 year and for sc/st is 5 year.
In IAS exam only four attempts for general,for obc 7 attempts and no limit for sc/st.
Fee for general candidate is Rs. 100 only. No fee for sc/st/pd.

You must have attained 21 years and not be over 30 years on August 1 of the year of examination.
The upper age limit is relaxed in specific cases as mentioned below:
upto a maximum of 5 years if the candidate belongs to SC/ST.
upto a maximum of 3 years if the candidate belongs to Other Backward Classes(BC's)

The minimum qualifications for the IAS exam:

>Graduation with atleast 60% marks from any recognised university.

>the age limit is 21 to 30years, 3years relaxation for the OBC candidates, 5years age relaxation for Sc/st candidates.

>the candidate must be a citizen of india.

IAS Stands for Indian Administration Services and this examination is Conducted by UPSC Every year and to apply for this examination you have to complete your Graduate degree course from a recognized University, Final year appearing candidates are also apply for this examination. You have to crack the Preliminary examination paper and Main examination Papers, only then you are eligible to appear for Final Interview for Final selection.

Eligibility for IAS:
Age limits :
21-30 years as on 1.7.2011. (Upper age limit relax able for SCs/STs, OBCs and certain other categories
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree of a recognized university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
You have to cracked this examination within the given Limits, If you have failed to cracked this examination in the Given Chances, then you cant apply for this examination Again.

>> General candidates will gets : 4 Chances
>> OBC Candidates : 7 Chances
>> SC/ST Candidates : No Limits

Important Dates :

>> Date of Publication of Notification : 04/Feb/2012
>> Last date of apply for this examination : 05/March/2012
>> Preliminary examination Date : 20/May/2012
>> Main examination date : 05/Oct/2012.

Eligible candidates may fill the application form Online Only, There is no Offline application form Facility from this year.
