Information on IAS i.e. Indian Administrative Service Dear Aspirant to become an IAS officer, you have to appear in Indian Civil Service Examination held once in a year. Qualification Required for I.A.S. :- I. Academic Eligibility The candidate must possess a degree from an Indian University or an educational institution deemed as a University or possess an equivalent qualification. Those in the final year of a degree course can also appear in the Preliminary Examination. II. Other Eligibility Conditions For the IAS and the IPS, the candidate must be a citizen of India. For the other services, a candidate must be either: a citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal, or a subject of Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. The candidate must have attained 21 years of age on August 1st of the year of examination and must not have attained 30 years of age on that date. The upper age limit will be relaxed by 3 years for OBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates. To become an IAS officer you will have to give civil service exam which is conduct every year by UPSC.
For IAS exam you must have graduate degree in any stream from recognised university. Age should be minimum 21 and maximum 30 years for general categories. Relaxation for obc is 3 year and for sc/st is 5 year. In IAS exam only four attempts for general,for obc 7 attempts and no limit for sc/st. Fee for general candidate is Rs. 100 only. No fee for sc/st/pd. You must have attained 21 years and not be over 30 years on August 1 of the year of examination. The upper age limit is relaxed in specific cases as mentioned below: upto a maximum of 5 years if the candidate belongs to SC/ST. upto a maximum of 3 years if the candidate belongs to Other Backward Classes(BC's) Thanks.. |

In order to get entry in IAS post you have to appear in CSAT exam conducted by UPSC once in a year. The eligibility to appear in this exam is-
(i) Age limits : Your age must be in between 21-30 years . There is some age relxation for SCs/STs, OBCs category candidates. For OBC candidates it is 21-33 years. and for SC/ST category it is 21-35 years. (ii) Educational Qualifications : You must have graduation degree in any stream. IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service. But you need to complete your Graduation to appear for IAS exam. This is include in the services which come under civil services. Civil service exams are conducted by UPSC. This exam is conducted every year to recruite IAS,IPS,IFS officers. The exam is conducted in 2 stages:- 1) Preliminary and 2) Mains. To appear for this exam`s you need to be a graduate from reconized university. General candidates have 4 attempts. OBC candidates have 7 attempts. SC/ST candidates hae no limit. Dear Aspirant to become an IAS officer, you have to appear in Indian Civil Service Examination held once in a year. This Exam is offered by Union Public Service Commission(UPSC). ELIGIBILITY: Qualification:- Must have Graduation degree in any discipline from recognized University. Must have Pass Graduation with fair percentage. One can also apply for IAS while in Last year of Graduation course. AGE limit:- Age must be between 21 to 33 years for General category. Age must be 21 to 35 for OBC category. Age must be 21 to 35 for SC/ST category. Gender:- Both Male & Female. Nationality:- Must be an Indian Resident. IAS ELIGIBILITY-
Required Qualification to join IAS you have graduate degree from a approved university. Age criteria-- your age should be 21 to 30 years. No. of attempts-- 4 for gen. Fee detils 100 for gen candidate and no fee for other. IAS exam is conducted by UPSC through Civil Service Exam. Thank you |

Dear friend, If you are interested in IAS then you should fulfill these criteria IAS Eligibility : Academic Qualification : The candidate must be graduate from any university. Age Limit : For General :21 to 30 years.[SC/ST will get 5 years age relaxation and OBC will get 3 year age relaxation] No Of Attempts : General : 4. SC/ST: Unlimited. OBC :7. |
