Combined Defence Service.

CDS exam is conducted by the UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) once in a year.

Eligibility criteria:-
Age criteria:-The age limits for Indian naval academy 19 years to 22 years

Candidate should be complete any graduation from a recognised university.

Even final year graduation persuing candidates are also eligible.

Percentage is not required for this exam.Candidate must be a citizen of india.

The age limit for CDS exam is as follows:

-For Naval Academy age must be between 19 to 22 years.

-For Air force academy age must be between 19 to 23 years.

-For Indian Military Academy age must be between 19 to 24 years.

-For Officers Training Academy age must be between 19 to 25 years.

CDS is a Combined defence services exam and it is conducted by UPSC for all the three forces of defence of India.

You should be a Graduate in any discipline from a recognised university to apply for CDS exam.

However you must note that if you want to join Air force or Navy you must be graduate in Engineering or maths or physics.

For Army you can be from any discipline.

UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) is an organization which conducts all the A Grade or Class I officer entry level Entrance Exams. Some of them would be NDA, IAS, SCRA, CDS, IPS, etc..

DETAILS ON CDS -

CDS - Combined Defense Services.

This is basically an Entrance Exam conducted for the entry of the graduate candidates in the Army, Navy or Air Force. It is conducted twice in a year. The upcoming CDS is going on with its registrations.

5. If you have any Quota, then you are required to produce valid certificates for that.

Age relaxation of any kind is not applicable in Combined Defence Service
Examination.

The age criteria remians the same even if you are currently an employee of
Indian Air Force.

The age criteria is
19-24 years for Indian Military Academy
19-23 years for Air Force Academy
19-22 years for Naval Academy
19-25 years for Officers Training Academy

The notification for CDSE I 2013 has been published already and the last
date to apply for the exam is, 10th Dec 2012.
If you are eligible then you should apply for the exam as early as possible
before the cutoff date.

CDS - COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICE, the entrance exam for which is conducted two times as CDS-I and CDS-II by UPSC for an entry in to Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officer's Training Academy.

The general age limit for candidate applying for CDS should be within 19 to 25 years with no upper age relaxation for any reserved category candidate. For entry in to different wings of CDS there is prescribed age limit:-

Indian Military Academy - 19 to 24 years
Indian naval Academy - 19 to 22 years
Indian Air Force Academy - 19 to 23 years
Indian Officer's Training Academy - 19 to 25 years

Apart from this the candidate must be an unmarried Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree Exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University with good Physical and Mental Fitness.

If you want to join CDS Examination then candidate should have a passed their graduate degree or will be appearing in the final year of degree may also eligible to apply .

CDS stands for Combined Defence Service examination and purpose of CDS examination is conducted for recruitment of Military Academy , Naval Academy , Air force Academy , Officer Training Academy (SSC-Men) , Office Training Academy (SSC-Women) .

CDS 2012 last date for submitting application forms was already completed and CDS II examination will be held on 16/09/12 . CDS Examination is conducted twice in a year as namely CDS I and CDS II . The eligibility criteria is differ from service to service that means each defence services under cds examination .

Military Academy / Officer Training Academy :-

-->> Candidate should have a graduate degree with any discipline as you wish from a recognized University .
-->> Candidate must be Citizenship of India OR Subject of Bhutan Or Subject of Nepal .
-->> Candidate must be Only Unmarried male candidate .
-->> Unmarried Female candidate may also eligible to apply for Officer Training Academy(SSC-Women).

Naval Academy / Air force Academy :-

-->> For Naval Academy Candidate should have a B.Sc degree with Physics or Mathematics from a reputed University or Bachelor's of Engineering May also eligible .
-->> For Air force Academy , Candidate should have a graduate degree with Physics and Mathematics as subjects with 12th from a recognized University .
-->> Candidate must be Citizenship of India OR Subject of Bhutan Or Subject of Nepal .
-->> Candidate must be Unmarried male candidate .

Age limits :-

-->> Military Academy :: 19 - 24 years .
-->> Naval Academy :: 19 - 22 years .
-->> Air force Academy :: 19 - 23 years .
-->> Officer Training Academy :: 19 - 25 years .
