Re: Am I eligible for Bank PO Exam havin secured 50% in Graduation?

if you want to apply for IBPS clerk exam then only graduation is required from any recognized university but if you want to apply for IBPS PO exams then you must be graduate with minimum 55% aggregates from any recognized university and your age must be between 20 to 30 years. So i would suggest you to apply for clerk only as your percentage in graduation are less.

Thanks....

Re: Am I eligible for Bank PO Exam havin secured 50% in Graduation?

There is no need of any percentage of marks in Graduation level to apply for SBI & IBPS Bank P.O. exam, only a pass in Graduation is sufficient to apply for this along with other eligibility criteria.

P.O. - Probationary Officer exam for banks generally conducted by SBI and IBPS(Institute of Banking Personal Selection) time to time as per their requirement.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian Citizen. He should have completed Graduation degree exam in any stream from a recognised University and should be within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate. He should be a computer literate one.

So you are eligible to apply for SBI & IBPS Bank P.O. Exam having secured 50% in Graduation. But some other Private banks required percentage criteria of at least 60% to apply for their bank P.O.exam.

For more information you may log on to SBI & IBPS official website:- http://www.statebankofindia.com AND http://www.ibps.in

Re: Am I eligible for Bank PO Exam havin secured 50% in Graduation?

yes, you can.
There are various bank ranks like clerical, PO (Probationary Officer) for which entrances are conducted.
PO entrance mandatorily needs graduation to be completed by the candidate.

But for the clerk common written exam (CWE) conducted by IBPS counts 10th and 12th marks too.
For this exam,
you must have 60% marks in 10th or
50% marks in 12th
your age must be in between 18-28 years of age.

All the best!!!

Re: Am I eligible for Bank PO Exam havin secured 50% in Graduation?

dear friend,
My friend , the aggregate percentage criteria varies from bank to bank..

Mostly it varies from 55%-60%..

As you have mentioned that you secured 50% aggregate in graduation course , then sorry to say you that you are not eligible for the exam..

To appear in BANK PO exam one must have to fulfill some eligibility criteria first..

Eligibility criteria for bank PO exam--

1.Candidate has to complete the graduation in any trade.

2.Final year candidates can also apply for the exam

3.Candidate has to secure 60% aggregate through out the career.
For SC/ST the percentage relaxation is 5%..

4.Age should be in between 21-35 years.
For SC/ST the upper age relaxation is 5 years and for OBC the upper age relaxation is 3 years.

5.Candidate must be computer literate.

These are the eligibility criteria..

As you have secure less than 55% aggregate then you are not eligible for any BANK PO exams.

All the best.

Re: Am I eligible for Bank PO Exam havin secured 50% in Graduation?

Actually most of the banks put the criteria of minimum 55% marks in graduation.

And those who belong to SC/ST and OBC category get a relaxation of 5% marks i.e 50%.

But one thing is also that different banks put different criteria. for example, some banks may put the criteria of 50% or may be 60%.

So first go through the notification or advertisement carefully before applying otherwise your form will be canceled if you don't fulfill the eligibility criteria.

With 50% marks you can try for various banks...check the websites for any vacancy or go to any local stores in market to get the advertisement...

All the best.............

Re: Am I eligible for Bank PO Exam havin secured 50% in Graduation?

It is difficult to tell whether you are eligible or not since there are some banks that require 50% in graduation and many require 60% in graduation.
If you belong to SC/ST/OBC category then surely you are eligible since every bank has some fixed spots for reseved categories.
If you belong to general category you can give exams of not all banks.
But you can also apply on the basis of 12th class percentage.
