Yes, of course my friend, there's a negative marking for each wrong answer. 1/3 marks will be deducted from your attained marks for every wrong answer. So, try your best to give correct answer and if you don't have any idea about the answer then its better to skip that question. Thanks.......... |

Re: Is there negative marking in Civil Service Examination(Prelim)? Penalty for Wrong Answers (in objective type papers)- Candidates have a penlety of 1/3rd of the marks (0.33) assigned to a question will be deducted in case of a wrong answer as a penalty. |

Re: Is there negative marking in Civil Service Examination(Prelim)? yes it has got negative marking you can apply till february so better don't care and study well mark only those for which you have correct idea well total marks of the question is given when correct and 1/3 is cut when answer is wrong so be sure when you fill best of luck apply and prepare for prelims...... |

Re: Is there negative marking in Civil Service Examination(Prelim)? yes there is negative marking.if you give the wrong answer then your marks are deducted. for example if the mark of one question is 4 then if give incorrect answer then your mark will be deducted by 1/4th of the mark os that question means 1/4*4=1.so 1 mark is deducted. |
