Re: Difference between Software and Computer Engineering?  computer engineer creates computer hardware/software <writes set of commands for computer> software is basically set of commands that tells a computer what to do. Example OS windows, Linux, MAC  there are 3 types of software: Operating systems-manager of computer application software-word, excel, CAD, financial software utilities - Hard Drive/video management, antivirus both of them operates on pure logic, i can't tell you which one is better. Question is wrong. if you're asking difference between computer engineer and networking enginner there is difference. |

Re: Difference between Software and Computer Engineering? Well dear, There's a difference between the engineering of computer science and software. Well, software Engineering refers to the complete study of the languages and packages required to develop the software for various purposes which may or may not require additional computer work. The software engineers work for the manufacture of Software, chip level works etc. But, Engineering in Computer Science is related to study of basic knowledge related to the various languages. But it doesn't contain the deep study. It just provide the basic idea of that. If you want to make your career in Software development then you should go for B.Tech in software engineering. Hardware is where you insert the disk as this is your tower your main brain Anonymous computer engineering: A person who designs the electronic structure of a computer.
