There's a difference between the engineering of computer science and software. Well, software Engineering refers to the complete study of the languages and packages required to develop the software for various purposes which may or may not require additional computer work. The software engineers work for the manufacture of Software, chip level works etc.

But, Engineering in Computer Science is related to study of basic knowledge related to the various languages. But it doesn't contain the deep study. It just provide the basic idea of that.

If you want to make your career in Software development then you should go for B.Tech in software engineering.

application software-word, excel, CAD, financial software
