Re: How to join Indian Army at officer rank after passing B.Com hello guest you can join the indian army as a graduate. there are two choices for you: INDIAN MILITARY ACADEMY DIRECT ENTRY ( NON TECHNICAL MEN ) OFFICERS TRAINING ACADEMY ( NON TECHNICAL MEN ) talking about IMA there are 250 seats for apllicants twice a year. the Eligibility Criteria is as follows: Age must be between 19 and 24 yrs as of first day of month in which course is due to commence Qualification Graduation from Recognised University. Marital Status Un Married for the OTA there are 175 seats for candidates twice a year the Eligibility Criteria is as: Age should be between 19 and 25 yrs as on 01 Jan of the yr in which course is due to commence for Apr course and 01 Jul of the yr in which course is due to commence for Oct course Qualification Graduation from Recognised University. Marital Status Un Married / married thank you!! |

Combined Defence Service (CDS) entrance exam conducted by UPSC twice every year as CDS-I ans CDS-II for entry in to Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officer's Training Academy of CDS. To be eligible for Indian Army of CDS the aspiring candidate should have possessed the following eligibility criteria:- -The candidate must be an unmarried Indian Male. -He should have either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University. -He should be within the age of 19 to 24 years with no relaxation for any reserved candidate. -He should possess a good Physical and mental physique. The selection is through written exam followed by personal interview along with Physical Fitness and Medical Test. The CDS can be applied through on line by paying requisite fees for the exam. These 3 wings are as under: --> Indian Army --> Indian Navy --> Indian Air Force One can also join these defense wings after 12th Non-Medical Stream through NDA (National Defense Academy) examination. Details regarding Short Service Commission for Non Technical Women: Age between should be between 19 and 25 yrs. Graduation from Recognized University. Only Un Married females are allowed. Notification will be published in Apr/ Sep every year. Likely SSB Date will be around May/Jun and Nov/Dec (Only if you clear the written test). Date Commencement of Training will be around Apr and Oct. Training Academy will be at OTA Chennai. Duration of Training is 49 Weeks. there are two ways. if you studied physics and chemistry in 10+2 and still are in age group of 16.5 to 19 then you can apply for NDA exam. this exam is conducted twice a year. else you can apply for CDS exam, when you are in last year of graduation or after that. for more details visithttp://www.upsc.gov.in best of luck. |

 After passing B.Com , you can join Indian Army at Officer rank only through CDS Examination. * CDS Stands for Combined Defense Services Examination. The Union Public Service Commission Conducts the Combined Defense Services Examination every year for the selection of candidates in Indian Defense. The Eligibility Criteria Required for CDS Examination are : * you must have completed graduation from any recognized college/university. * your age must lie in between 18-24 years. * Final Year Graduation Candidates can also apply for CDS-I. * Nationality Must Be Indian. * Physical Standards :  The CDS Examination is conducted twice in a year in the months of February and December. This is the information i have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. Hope the information will help you to the extent you want. |
