After passing B.Com. Indian Army can be joined through appearing CDS entrance exam.

Combined Defence Service (CDS) entrance exam conducted by UPSC twice every year as CDS-I ans CDS-II for entry in to Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officer's Training Academy of CDS.

To be eligible for Indian Army of CDS the aspiring candidate should have possessed the following eligibility criteria:-

-The candidate must be an unmarried Indian Male.
-He should have either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University.
-He should be within the age of 19 to 24 years with no relaxation for any reserved candidate.
-He should possess a good Physical and mental physique.

The selection is through written exam followed by personal interview along with Physical Fitness and Medical Test.

The CDS can be applied through on line by paying requisite fees for the exam.

CDS is the best exam for those graduate who want to make their career in defence. CDS stands for Combined defense services. this exam is conduct by UPSC twice in a year.

Eligibility Criteria For CDS is

candidate should be completed graduation
candidate who are appearing final year exam are also eligible

Age Limit

For IMA 19 to 24
For OTA 19 to 25
For NA 19 to 22
For Air force 19 to 23

• A candidate should have completed their graduation with atleast 50% from Recognized Universities
  
  
• Citizenship of INDIA.

Age limite:

• Naval Academy : 19-22 Years
• Officers’ Training Academy :19-25 Years.
• Indian Military Academy : 19-24 Years
• Air Force Academy : 19-23 Years

How To Join Indian Army

You can appear for the Combined Defense Services (CDS) Exam which is conducted by UPSC in the months of February and September..

You must have the following necessary qualifications for appearing for the CDS :-

>> You must be either a final year graduation student or must have completed your graduation in any stream from a recognized University..

>> You must be within the age limit of 19-24 years to be able to join the Indian Military Academy(IMA)

The written Exam shall test you on the following areas carrying 100 marks each :-

>> Maths
>> English
>> General Awareness

After passing B.Com , you can join Indian Army at Officer rank only through CDS Examination.

* CDS Stands for Combined Defense Services Examination.

The Union Public Service Commission Conducts the Combined Defense Services Examination every year for the selection of candidates in Indian Defense.

The Eligibility Criteria Required for CDS Examination are :

* you must have completed graduation from any recognized college/university.

* your age must lie in between 18-24 years.

* Final Year Graduation Candidates can also apply for CDS-I.

* Nationality Must Be Indian.

* Physical Standards :



The CDS Examination is conducted twice in a year in the months of February and December.

hi,
there are two ways. if you studied physics and chemistry in 10+2 and still are in age group of 16.5 to 19 then you can apply for NDA exam. this exam is conducted twice a year. else you can apply for CDS exam, when you are in last year of graduation or after that.

Hello dear aspirant, as you are a women and want to join to Indian Army after your B.Com then you can only join it through Short Service Commission for Non Technical Women and not through CDSE because Women are not allowed to join army through CDSE:

Details regarding Short Service Commission for Non Technical Women:

Age between should be between 19 and 25 yrs.

Graduation from Recognized University.

Only Un Married females are allowed.

Notification will be published in Apr/ Sep every year.

Likely SSB Date will be around May/Jun and Nov/Dec (Only if you clear the written test).

Date Commencement of Training will be around Apr and Oct.

Training Academy will be at OTA Chennai.

Duration of Training is 49 Weeks.

INDIAN MILITARY ACADEMY DIRECT ENTRY ( NON TECHNICAL MEN )

OFFICERS TRAINING ACADEMY ( NON TECHNICAL MEN )

talking about IMA there are 250 seats for apllicants twice a year.

the Eligibility Criteria is as follows:

Qualification
Graduation from Recognised University.

for the OTA there are 175 seats for candidates twice a year

the Eligibility Criteria is as:



Age should be between
19 and 25 yrs as on 01 Jan of the yr in which course is due to commence for Apr course and 01 Jul of the yr in which course is due to commence for Oct course

You have to apply for the CDS exams in order to become an Officer in Indian army


Eligibilty to apply for the CDS exams conducted by UPSC is:
