just search the research articles of ongoing projects, assess there status then on the basis of your interest choose your specialisation which can initiate ur research leading to phd if u insist. well there are many specialisations biotechnology is vast like bioprocessing, fermentation, biomedical, epidemiology, microbiology,etc just give a shot for ur interest good luck

Dnot go for M.sc it is a traditional degree no use with this degree ,no jobs in the industry u can try it MBA Pharma Mgt ,There is lot of jobs in managerial positions in pharma companies ,they are looking for biotech with mba.so that u can join in mba in pharma mgt.there is one college offering in hyd i.e synergy b-school.
