Hi,
After a B.sc in biotechnology, you can opt for a course in Clinical Research or Bioinformatics. Both of these are upcoming fields and can offer lucrative jobs in the corporate sector. For further details you can log on to websites (icriindia.com, cliniminds.com, Academy for clinical excellence) for Clinical Research and www.bioinformaticscentre.org or www.ibab.ac.in for a career in Bioinformatics. You could even opt for a MBA (Biotechnology/Pharma). The Indian Institute of Pharmaceutical Marketing (IIPM) Lucknow offers a two-year MBA (Pharma Marketing) course in the distance education mode. For more details visit www.iipm.co.in or www.iipmindia.com. Biotechnologist find employment opportunities in Biotech companies, in forensic science laboratories which employ molecular biological techniques such as DNA finger printing for diagnostic purpose, as part of clinical research programmes The job prospects after these courses are usually bright in terms of challenges at work, growth curve, scope for learning and benefits. Hence there are a number of options you may take up the one, which interests you more. Value all options and the take the decision in the best of your interest. All the best. |
