Sir,You are required to have a graduation degree in the relevant field
from a government recognized university.
For the examination, a candidate must have-
A degree in Engineering from a government recognized university.
or
Passed Section A and B of the Institution Examinations of the Institution of Engineers (India)
or
Obtained a degree/diploma in Engineering from such foreign University/CollegeInstitution and under such conditions as may be recognised by the Government for the purpose from time to time.
or
Passed Graduate Membership Examination of the Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (India)
or
Passed Associate Membership Examination Parts II and III/Sections A and B of the Aeronautical Society of India.
or

Sir,IES exams are conducted by UPSC to select the best engineers in the country.
Mechanical,Civil,Electrical
Electronics and telecommunication.
The eligibility is that you should be BE or BTech from the recognized university.
There are no cut off marks for this exam and if you are graduate, then you can write this exam.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR IES EXAM


There is no marks criteria for IES exam.

IES exam is conducted by UPSC in once time in year.

If you have completed engineering discipline in following departments then you are eligible for IES exam

1.Civil Engineering
2.Electrical Engineering
3.Mechanical engineering.
4.Electronics and Communication Engineering.

The applicant age should between 21 yrs to 30 yrs.Age relaxation is provide for SC/ST/OBC candidate.

The Notification was published in the month of January or February in Official website or employment news papers.

Final year student also eligible for IES exam .

If you are from different departments then also you are eligible but you should take one of the above departments as exam.

Eligibility Criteria For IES


The IES (Indian Engineering Service) Exam is conducted by UPSC every year..

For appearing in the IES exams..you should fulfill the following minimum basic eligibility criterion first :-

[B]1)You should be within the age limit of 21-30 years for general category,21-33 years for OBC and 21-35 years for SC/ST

The maximum number of attempts permitted for the general category is 4,for OBC its 7 and for SC/ST there is no limit..

2) You should be a B.Tech degree holder or in the final year of your B.Tech in any of the following streams

Mechanical Engineering
Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering
Electrical Engineering
Civil Engineering

Since..the rule says that you just need to be a graduate hence..there is no percentage constraint for appearing in the IES exam

There is no percentage barrier to appear in the IES exam. Yeah you have to pass all the exams, of your graduation and no backlog should be there.

Also you should be between the age of 21 to 30 years , and holding a graduation degree, from a recognized university or college.

Hi,

There is not cut off marks for appearing IES exam in graduation (BE degree).

The minimum qualification for writing IES exam:
BE degree.
Age should be between 21-30 years.
IES exams are conducted for four engineering courses:
civil
mechanical
electrical
electronics and telecommunication.

for giving IES exam, a student must have passed engineering from a government recognized university with atleast 60% marks. also there is a age limit of 21 to 30 years. for more details regarding the exam, you can go to

Hello,

As long as you have obtained a degree in Engineering in any discipline from a recognised University.

you dont have to worry about anything else.

there is no such criteria as percentage.

in iit jee percentage of questions asked from 11th class varries from 35-45%. but on avg 40% of the class 11th syllabus is covered.

UPSC is the concerning body which carries out the IES exam. This is one of the most prestigious post to which an engineering graduate can enter into. There are different departments to which a candidate can join as per their preference. You need to have a pass in B.Tech or its equivalent as to appear in the exam. if you need more information please visit the official website of UPSC.

The candidate must have obtained a degree in Engineering in any discipline from a recognised University.

There is no percentage requirements for appearing in IES exam. You just need to pass in the bachelors course in engineering.

there is no percentage requirement to appear in IES(Indian Engineering Services) examination. only the four branch of engineering students are eligible for IES examination. those are
* Civil Engineering
* Mechanical Engineering
* Electrical Engineering
* Electronics & telecommunication Engineering

Date of Notification Application /Last date for receipt of applications: 25.12.2010 to 24.1.2011
Date of Commencement of examination and its duration: 14.05.2011 (Three days)

(2)PHYSICALLY FIT ACCORDING TO THE CRITERIA OF UPSC
(3)AGE BETWEEN 21-30 YEARS
(4)MUST HAVE AN ENGINEERING DEGREE FROM ANY UNIVERSITY AUTHORIZED BY GOVERNMENT OF INDIA

There is nothing like Percentage requirement if you are a graduate then you are Eligible for IES exam.
But for future Concern you must be having minimum criteria i.e 50% in graduation.

For IES Exam Eligibility:
  • Age Eligibility:
    • You need to be between 21 years to 30 years on the 1st August of the year of examination. For example, for IES-2011, you should be born not earlier than 2nd August, 1981 and not later than 1st August, 1990.
  • Academic Eligibility:
    • You must be a graduate in Engineering from a recognized university.

The eligibilty for IES are similar to UPSC exam i.e 50% for general category and 45% fro reserved category.

There is no percentage restriction to appear IES examination.

You are required to have a graduation degree in the relevant field
from a government recognized university.

For the examination, a candidate must have-

- A degree in Engineering from a government recognized university.
or
