Re: Required Qualification to become a Loco Pilot? For Being a loco pilot candidate's academic qualification should be minimum 10th passed. If candidates have higher qualification then it will help you to increase your designation as well as salary. candidates age should be withing 18 to 30 years at the same time. Academic degree is not enough to become Loco Pilot candidates should have a professional degree like ITI, Diploma or B.TECH with Electrical, Mechanical and automobiles etc. According to Railway Requirement Board vacancies held. |

You must have any one of the following qualification if you want to apply for Loco Pilot job in Indian Railway. 10th pass or equivalent under 10+2 system and Course Completed Act Apprentice or ITI recognised by SCVT/NCVT OR Diploma in Mecahnical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobile Engg recognised by AICTE or higher qualification. You also should have age between 18 to 30 years if you are General Category. There is age relaxation for SC/ST and OBC Category candidates. You have to apply for examination conducted RRB. The examination will have objective type paper and after the paper there will be interview. |
