Required Qualifications for Loco Pilot

To give the exam you need to be a 10 pass out and you should have completed your ITI in any trade from a recognized university

If you have a diploma degree in mechanical/automobile/electrical or electronics then also you can apply for this exam

your age should between 18 to 30 years

however there is age relaxation for the SC/ST/OBC candidates

Selection procedure includes written exam and personal interview...........

The Railway Recruitment Board Conducted the Assistant Loco Pilot Examination..,

Directly you cannot become a Loco Pilot ..,First you should work as a assistant loco pilot for a period of atleast 2 years then after according to the vacancies of the division u can become a loco pilot and there are 3 cat 1 is loco pilot goods , 2 loco pilot passenger and finale os loco pilot mail/express..,

The Eligibility for the Assistant Loco Pilot are :--

First of all you have to give RRB exam in order to pursure your career in loco pilot.

For the above mention exam that is RRB you need to fulfill certain criteria:
1. you need to be a 10pass out and even completed ITI in any field from a recognised university with at least 50% .

2. If having diploma degree related to field like mechanical/electrical/automobile etc, then also you can apply .

AGE SHOULD BE BETWEEN 20-30 YEARS FOR GENERAL CANDIDATES ,WHEREAS RELAXATION GIVEN FOR SC/ST AND OBC.

After qualifying in the exam ,then there is a final stage of PERSONAL INTERVIEW which you need to clear .

This post conducted by the railway recruitment board under the ministry of railways and the RRB is to make recruitment for the group C staff posts in the various departments.

If you have ITI and Diploma degree then you are applicable for Assistant Loco Pilot Exam.

Eligible ITI departments are Fitter/Electrician/Instrument Mechanic/Mill Wright or Maintenance Mechanic/Mechanic Radio & TV/Electronics Mechanic/Mechanic Motor Vehicle/Wireman/Tractor Mechanic/Armature & Coil Winder/Mechanic Diesel/Heat Engine/Turner/Machinist/Refrigeration & AC Mechanic

Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobile Engineering recognized by AICTE are also applicable.

Your age should be in between 21 to 30 years old.Age relaxation provide for reserved category.

In The RRB Assistant loco pilot Examination, Questions will be asked from Technical, Non Technical, General English, General Awareness, Arithmetic's, Reasoning etc.

Total No Of Question is 120.
Total Time given for the test is only 90 minutes.
Medium of examination is Hindi or English or Urdu.
This exam also has the negative marking. For any three wrong answer a full marks of a question will be deduced i.e. 1/3rd Negative marking.

For the post of Loco Pilot you have to apply for RRB exams.
RRB stands for Railway Recruitment Board.

The requires eligibility criteria for Loco Pilot is provided below:

The minimum educational qualification is matriculation or its equivalent under 10+2 system, and course completed in Apprentice or I.T.I. in any of the specific trades recognised by SCVT/ NCVT

The 120 questions are of objective type with multiple choice answers and include questions from GK, General English/Hindi, General Arithmetic, Analytical/Quantitative Skills and from those subjects covered as part of minimum qualifications for the post.

Exam duration: 90 minutes.

There is negative marking wherein 1/3 of allotted marks for each question is deducted for each wrong answer.
