Now, as you haven't mentioned your academic qualification, I am assuming that you are a graduate and being a graduate, one can join the police force either as sub-inspector by qualifying entrance exam conducted by the state police or public service commission of that particular state, or could join the Indian Police Service by qualifying civil service exam conducted by union public service commission. As per the age you have mentioned, you won't be considered eligible to apply for the post of Sub-Inspector in state police as the maximum age limit for it is something around 25-27 years depending upon the state, but since the maximum age limit to apply for civil service exam is 30 years, you may apply for it definitely. For more information regarding the civil service exam, refer to the official website of Union Public Service Commission. |
