KAS or Karnataka Administrative Services is conducted for civil services in the state of KArnataka.

Eligibility criteria for KAS

Nationality

Indian

Education –

Graduation from a recognised university

Age –

For general category - 21years to 30 years

For OBC category – 21 years to 33 years

For SC/ ST category – 21 years to 35 years.

Stages of exam -

These stages are -

Preliminary exam, main exam and personal interview.

Regarding the date of KAS 2013, KAS has not notified the dates yet.

KAS Stands Karnataka Administrative Service

KAS exam conducted by Karnataka Public Service Commission once in a year.

Eligibility Criteria for KAS Examination :

Candidates must be Indian

Candidates should have any Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University

Candidates min of age limit 21 years & max of age limit 35 years

Age relaxation as per govt rules

3 years for OBC Candidates

5 years for SC/ST Candidates

Selection Process :

It can be based on following Three stages

Preliminary Examination

Main Examination

Interview

Preliminary Exam Syllabus :

It consisting Two Papers.

Total 100 questions each question carrying Two marks.

Paper I :

General Studies related to National & International Importance

Humanities

Paper II :

General Studies related to state Importance

General Science & Tech , Environment & Ecology

Main Examination :

Paper I : Kannada : 150 Marks

Paper II : English : 150 Marks

Paper III & IV : General Studies : 300 Marks

Paper V , VI , VII & VII : Two subjects to be selected from the list of optional subjects ,
Each subject will have two papers. : 300 Marks for Each Paper

Eligibility details:-

Bachelor's degree holder in any stream candidates are eligible for this exam.

Percentage is not important to eligible for this exam.

The candidate must be an Indian origin.


Age criteria:-

The age limits are 21 to 30years,

3 years upper age relaxation only for OBC candidates,

5 years upper age relaxation only for SC/ST candidates.

Selection stages:-

There are basically 3 stages given below.

Preliminary exam,

Mains exam,

Personal interview.
