Re: Possibility to appear for NDA entrance exam? I am 20 years old Hi, As per your age, you cannot apply for NDA exam, as you have crossed the upper age limit of 19 years. NDA- National defenece Academy Eligibility for NDA exam - 12th pass from a recognised university. Age between 16.5 years to 19 years. Only unmarried male candidtes can apply. The exam is conducted in three stages. These are the successive stages. First the written test is conducted. This written test consists of two papers - 1. General Mathematics 2. General Ability After qualifying the written test, an SSB interview is conducted. After this interview a physical examinationis done. They check eyesight, chest measurement, height, weight, colour blindness of the shortlisted candidate. Physical standards are very importnat in NDA exam. So, you can;t apply for NDA, but you can try for CDS exam, which is also conducted by UPSc, but for that you will have to complte graduation. Visit www.upsc.gov.in |

So,After Graduation,Candidate can apply for CDS exam. Eligibility criteria for CDS exam : >>Graduation pass from any recognized university. Age : >>Age is between 19-22 years for Navy. >>Age is between 19-23 years for Air force. >>Age is between 19-24 years for Army. >>Age is between 19-25 years for OTA. Please see the details below for your information: The eligibility criteria required for the NDA examination are : Educational Qualifications: Completion of 12th with PCM from any accredited board. Completion of 12th with Arts and Commerce for Army wing. Age Limits, Sex and Marital Status: Only unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 02nd January, 1995 and not later than 01st July, 1997 are eligible. |

The acronym for NDA is National Defence Academy. Sorry to say that you cannot appear for NDA examination. The eligibility criteria required for the NDA examination are prescribed as below:- * Completion of 12th with PCM for Navy and Air Force wings from any recognized board. * Completion of 12th with Commerce for Army wing. * Nationality:- Indian. * Age limit:- 16.5-19 yrs. * Sex:- Male. * Marital status:- Unmarried or single. Re: Possibility to appear for NDA entrance exam? I am 20 years old Dear Friend, The Union Public Service Commission conducts the NDA Examination twice every year. To be eligible to appear in the NDA Examination , you need to fulfill all the eligibility criteria set by the UPSC. The Age Limit for NDA Examination is 16.5-19 years. Also no relaxation in upper age is given to any candidate whether he belongs to Reserved categories or not. So , there is no way out to appear in NDA Examination if you are 20 years old. If you are really interested in Defense , then you can join Indian Defense through the Combined Defense Services Examination. This Examination is too conducted twice every year by the Union Public Service Commission. The minimum eligibility criteria required for CDS Examination is graduation from any recognized university. As well as the age limit for CDS Exam is 18-24 years. This is the information i have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. Hope the information will help you to the extent you want. |

NDA stands for National Defence Academy , the exam for which is conducted by UPSC twice every year as NDA-I and NDA-II for an entry in to Indian Army, Navy and Air force wing of NDA. There are three wings of NDA.Through NDA exam candidate can join all defence wings - Indian Army,Indian Navy and Indian Airforce. Eligiblity for NDA exam :- Only Unmarried Male candidate can give the exam. Candidate should be an Indian. Candidate's age should come between 16.5 to 19years. Candidates should pass their 10+2 class with Physics,Chemistry and Maths from a recognized board. *********** But you can appear in CDS exam. CDS stands for Combined Deffence Service. CDS exam conducted by upsc every year two time for IMA,Navel Academy,Air force academy,OTA. I am 20 years old ELIGIBILTY FOR NDA: Here NDA means National Defense Academy,and it proves the gateway for going through Indian Air Force,Army and Navy. A candidate passing +2 can write for this exam, here are the information about it in details:- NDA Eligibility Criteria: >-It is conducted twice a year and must be a citizen of India. >-Age should be 16.5 years to 19 years, if you are 20 then you are not eligible for this. >-Candidate must have passed 10+2 educational level with physics and mathematics subjects as their main subject.  Iam really sorry to say this you are not eligible for National Defence Academy. NDA exam is conducted by the UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) 2 times in every year. 1. NDA-I, 2. NDA-II. There are three differant wings in NDA, those are listed below. Indian Airforce, Indian Navy, Indian Army. Eligibility criteria:- The applicant must have to complete 12th standard from a recognised board or university. The applicant should be physically fit. Percentage is not important to appear the NDA examination, but only with PCM subjects candidates can be applicable for Indian AirForce and Navy. Minimum age requirements are 16.5 years, Maximum age requirements are 19 years. No upper age relaxation. The candidates must be an Indian origin. Only unmarried and male candidates are eligible, i.e girls are not eligible. Stages in Selection procedure:- -->Written exam, -->SSB interview, -->Medical test. I am 20 years old Dear friend Sorry to say that there is no chance for you to appear for the NDA examinations at the age of 20 years because the maximum age limit to appear for the NDA examinations are 19 years as per rules and regulations of UPSC and also there is one fact that no relaxation in age is provided to candidates of any category. If you are so much interested in joining defense there are two more options left for you but both are at bachelor's degree level. First one is the CDS that is Combined defense services examinations. This exam is held twice every year by the UPSC .You need to be a graduate in order to apply for this examination. The age limit for different academies are as follows: Indian Military academy:19-24 years Indian naval academy:19-22 years Officer's training academy:19-25 years Indian air force academy:19-23 years. >>You must be an Indian citizen.Both male and female candidates can apply for the examinations. You must be physically fit . For further details ,you may visit www.upsc.gov.in The second option for you is Technical entry scheme.It is for those candidates who want to join army. The eligibility for this exam is that you must have secure at least 75 % in PCM of your 10+2 from a recognized board. As far as I am concerned the age limit is 17-21 years.But I will suggest you to kindly check it out from the official website that www.joinindianarmy.nic.in. Candidates are shortlisted depending upon the cut off marks set by the Board and are sent letters for direct SSB without giving any written test. Note: If you are pursuing you bachelor's degree in engineering/technology/science then you may also go for the University Entry scheme. >>Both TES and UES are for joining the Indian army.
