Eligibility Criteria - A bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institution No candidate shall be eligible for appearing in the Preliminary Competitive Examination, unless he/she has passed the Matriculation Examination with Punjabi as one of the compulsory or elective subjects or any other equivalent examination in Punjabi language. Age should be between 21 -37 years. Total Number of attempts - Four Exam details- There are 3 stages - Preliminary, Main and interview. Preliminary exam - - Objective type. General Studies (Compulsory) One Optional subject out of : Agriculture Botany Chemistry Commerce Economics Geography Geology Indian History Law Mathematics Physiology Physics Psychology Sociology Statistics Zoology Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science Civil Engineering Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering Medical Science Main exam -Subjective type Essay (Compulsory) Note:The candidate may opt to write the Essay either in English or Punjabi (in Gurmukhi Script) English( Compulsory) Punjabi ( Compulsory) General Studies (Compulsory) Two Subjects from the optional subjects out of : Agriculture Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science Anthropology Botany Chemistry Civil Engineering Commerce and Accountancy Economics Electrical Engineering Geography Geology History Law Management Mathematics Mechanical Engineering Medical Science Philosophy Physics Political Science and International Relations Psychology Public Administration Sociology Statistics Zoology Literature of one of the following Languages : 1. How to prepare for Punjab Civil services exam? Hi I want to prepare for Punjab Civil services exam. This would be my first attempt. I also have to choose my subject. Pl help me in selection of optional subject and refer me the books n sylabus i need to cover for it. Pl tell me every detail of it. |
