Re: New Syllabus for UPSC Mains Exam? Any change in syllabus? Dear, The changes in mains are not implemented as till now but there are strong indications that it will be implemented from 2012 ( odds 20-80 ) or 2013 (80-20). New changes will scrap optional subjects exams from mains. It will have only GS papers along with English,Essay and Indian language. GS paper will be redistributed into different sections like indian polity paper, indian economy paper, histroy paper etc. It will create a same level for everyone to discourage current advantages to certain sections. Re: New Syllabus for UPSC Mains Exam? Any change in syllabus? hey frnds, the national newspaper " the hindu " announced that the pattern of ias mains for the yr 2012 is going to be changed. u can see the information in website of the hindu newspaper of 28th september . it says that , the optional subject were removed from the mains and new subjects were introduced which are part of general studies. so according to me evry one should prepare for the gs right now and wait till the official news about the change is declared.it is better not to join any coaching centre right now because they wouldn't teach u the changed syllabus.... so wait and watch ...... |
