GATE [Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering] This exam is an entrance exam for M.Tech courses.On the basis of the GATE score an engineer can get admission in M.Tech courses through out India. Some colleges where one can get admission through the GATE exam are:
Few of the public sector companies have also started considering the GATE score for recruitment. A cutoff is prepared of those who apply through GATE score and accordingly recruitment is done. Some PSU's that recruit through GATE exam are:
IES [Indian Engineering Services] This exam is conducted by UPSC for jobs in government organizations.This exam is conducted under the civil services exam.
