The acronym for NEET is National Eligibility -Cum- Entrance Test. Yes, you can attempt NEET examination 2nd time. NEET examination is attempted in three times. The eligibility criteria required for the NEET examination are prescribed as below:- * Completion of 12th with PCB with 50% marks from any accredited board. * Final year contenders are also eligible. * Age limit:- 17-25 yrs. * Age relaxation:- 5 yrs for SC/ST and OBC contenders. * 45% marks required for SC/ST contenders. * Nationality:- Indian. A candidate who have completed their 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Biology with at least 50% from Recognized Board exam are eligible for it..... SC/ST candidates needs to get 45% of marks... Final years students also eligible for it... Age of candidate should be between 17 to 25 years...... There is upper age relaxation for reserved category candidates as 5 years for SC/ST/OBC...... Maximum number of attempts allowed for NEET Exam is 3 times.... Earlier the number of medical entrance exams one used to give was tremendously high. There were about 25 medical entrance exams in our country and to increase chances of getting selected many used to give more than five or six exams. Different exams had different syllabus and the exam pattern also used to vary. But now with NEET the burden of the students gets reduced. The minimum qualification required to sit for this exam is that you need to be a higher secondary passed out candidate and in addition to that you need to secure 50% of marks in physics, chemistry and mathematics taken together. There is percentage relaxation for the reserved category candidates. SC/ST candidates needs to get 45% of marks in physics, chemistry and mathematics taken together. You cannot apply for this exam unless and until you turn 17 years of age. There is upper age limit relaxation for the reserved category candidates. For SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates there is 5 years age relaxation. Number Of Attempts:- You can give this exam for three times at the most. NEET Exam Date 2013:- 5th May 2013 Hope this helps :-> :-> |
