Dear Friend , The Minimum Height Required to be eligible for the IPS Exam depends upon the category you belong :  Other Qualifications required for the Civil Services Exam are : * You must have completed your graduation from any recognized college/university. * You must have Indian Nationality. * You must be physically and mentally fit. Those candidate have completed graduation in any discipline from recognized university are eligible for IPS exam. But your age should be in between 21-30years for general candidate. In IPS exam their is provide age relaxation for OBC candidate is 3years and for SC/ST candidate is 5 years. The maximum attempts for Sc/ST candidate is Unlimited. For OBC candidate it is 7 years and for general candidate it will be 5 years. Also you must be citizen of India. But you should have these criteria also : 1.You should pass 10+2 examination with minimum 50% 2.You should have a good eyesight. 3.You should not have color blindness. |

Technical services are IRTS, IPS, DANI PS, CISF, RPF & other Police organisation. TheMedical standards for Technical Services are stringent. For IPS- Height ? Male 165 cm Pahari Male (general also) & ST (not the SC/ OBC) ? 160 cm Female 150 cm Pahari Female (general also) & ST (not SC/ OBC)- 145 cm Chest ? Male Minimum 84 cm. Expansion 5 cm. Female Min 79 cm expansion 5 cm. |

These days very few people aspire to become an IPS officer because of their bad reputation. I hope youngsters take inspiration from you. Anyway, coming to your query, minimum height eligibility required for IPS is as follows: *Male 165 cm Pahari Male (general also) & ST (not the SC/ OBC) 160 cm *Female 150 cm Pahari Female (general also) & ST (not SC/ OBC)- 145 cm A general category student can apply 4 times. Number of Attempts - Four attempts for open, seven attempts for OBCs candidates and no limit for SCs / STs candidates. 3. Physical Standard: - a. Height i. Male = 165 cm for general & OBC candidates and 160 cm for SC & ST candidates ii. Female = 150 cm for general & OBC candidates and 145 cm for SC & ST candidates b. Chest i. Male = Minimum 84 cm and after expansion 89 cm. ii. Female = Minimum 79 cm and after expansion 84 cm. Good Luck & Best of Luck |
