Re: Can I apply for IAS exam? I am english honors student hi friend. Before giving a straight answer to your question i want to provide you some necessary information. IAS- Indian Administrative Services conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission). Eligibility Criteria 1)Qualification- Degree in any subject from a recognised university and the final year students are also eligible to apply. 2)Age limits- min 21 years. GEN-30 years. OBC-33 years, SC/ST- 35 years, blind deaf mute orthopadedically/handicapped persons- 40 years. 3)Number of Attempts- GEN-4 OBC-7 Physically Handicaped-7 SC/ST- No limits Selection process in 3 ways. 1)Preliminary exam 2)Mains exam 3)Personal Interview So my dear friend, if you are not violating your age limits then your are eligible to apply. as you are a graduate student you are definitely eligible for ias exam, ias exam is conducted by upsc, under upsc following exam is conducted for civil services : indian administrative services indian police services indian forest services eligibility for ias : must be a citizen of india must have completed graduation from a recognized university no minimum requirement of marks age limit : minimum age limit allowed is 21 years maximum age limit allowed is 30 years 3 year relaxation for obc students 5 year relaxation for sc/st students selection procedure : prelims mains interview number of attempts allowed : 4 for general students 7 for obc students no limit for sc/st students so as you are english graduate you are eligible for ias exam good luck |

I am english honors student HI FRIEND ## The minimum educational qualification required to apply for IAS EXAMINATION(civil services exam) is graduation in any discipline from recognised institution/university ## So, you are definitely eligible to apply for IAS EXAM ## Age limit to apply for IAS EXAMINATION is ~>21-30 years for GENERAL category candidates ~>21-33 years for OBC candidates ~>21-35 years for SC/ST candidates ~>21-40 years for PH candidates ## The number of attempts allowed for IAS EXAM are ~>4 times for GENERAL category ~>7 times for OBC category ~>no limit for SC/ST category candidates ## The selection process of IAS examination is ->Written test(preliminary & mains exams) ->Personal interview ## For further details please visit www.upsc.gov.in ** ALL THE BEST ** |

IAS stands for Indian Administrative Services .IAS exam is conducted by UPSC every year . Graduation Degree in any stream from a recognized university , the final year students also eligible for applying preliminary examination .There is not required any specific marks criteria for IAS exam .
