Hi Aspirant

CPT Means Common Proficiency Test and the exam is conducted for the One of the reputed post of the country for Charted Accountant post and their is the entrance exam to take admission in the course and that is called the cpt exam .

You can appear in the after completing your 12th class or either appear in the exam after completing your graduation too .But the course validity will change as after completing the 12th class the validity for CA is 5 years And but after completing the graduation the validity of the course will decrease to 2 years ..

Here is the Format of the CPT Exam:

Maths

Economics

Mercantile law

Accounts

Each subject will carry 50 marks and it means a total of 200 marks and out of which you have to score at least 30% marks in each subject individual and a total of 50% marks in all subjects .It means you have to score a total of 100 marks in all subjects out of 200 marks ..

And after clearing the first stage their will be the next stage and the name is IPCC

Here is the Format of IPCC:

Part i

Business law and communication

Accounts

Taxation

Financial Management

Cost Accounting

Part ii

IT And Strategic Management

Advanced Accounting

Auditing And Assurance

And if you are able to clear the IPCC Than you will be able to write the last and final stage of the CA

Final Stage :

Part i

Corporate And Allied laws

If you are able to clear the final stage of the Charted accountant exam also than you will be Charted Accountant Professional and you will get a good salary package for sure and also ultimately your future will be secure ..

Re: Minimum Marks required in each subject to get qualified in CPT Exam?

CPT stands for the Common Proficiency Test. It is the first stage of Chartered Accountancy Course in India. Candidates can register for the Common Proficiency Test after completing 10th however they can only appear for it after completing 12th.

There are four subjects in the Common Proficiency Test worth of 200 marks. These subjects are:

1. Fundamentals of Accountancy

2. Economics

3. Mercantile Law

4. Quantitative Aptitude

These subjects are divided into two groups. To qualify the Common Proficiency Test a candidate requires to obtain at least 30 percent marks in each group and total of 50 percent marks in the both groups combined.

Only then you can pass the Common Proficiency Test and seek admsision for IPCC. However there is another way to seek admission for IPCC. If you have scored 55 percent marks in B.Com or 60 percent marks in non commerce graduation course, then you are eligible for direct admission in IPCC.

There are total of 7 papers in the IPCC.

Group 1

1. Accounting

2. Business Laws,Ethics and Communication

3. Cost Accounting and Financial Management

4. Taxation

Group 2

5. Advanced Accounting

6. Auditing and Assurance

7. Information Technology and Strategic Management

The last stage of Final Course in which there are 8 papers divided into two groups.

Group 1

1. Financial Reporting

2. Strategic Financial Management

3. Advanced Auditing and Professional Ethics

4. Corporate and Allied Laws

Group 2

5. Advanced Management Accounting

6. Information System control and Audit

7. Direct Tax Laws

8. indirect tax Laws
