Re: Minimum Marks required in each subject to get qualified in CPT Exam?
CPT stands for the Common Proficiency Test. It is the first stage of Chartered Accountancy Course in India. Candidates can register for the Common Proficiency Test after completing 10th however they can only appear for it after completing 12th.
There are four subjects in the Common Proficiency Test worth of 200 marks. These subjects are: 1. Fundamentals of Accountancy 2. Economics 3. Mercantile Law 4. Quantitative Aptitude These subjects are divided into two groups. To qualify the Common Proficiency Test a candidate requires to obtain at least 30 percent marks in each group and total of 50 percent marks in the both groups combined. Only then you can pass the Common Proficiency Test and seek admsision for IPCC. However there is another way to seek admission for IPCC. If you have scored 55 percent marks in B.Com or 60 percent marks in non commerce graduation course, then you are eligible for direct admission in IPCC. There are total of 7 papers in the IPCC. Group 1 1. Accounting 2. Business Laws,Ethics and Communication 3. Cost Accounting and Financial Management 4. Taxation Group 2 5. Advanced Accounting 6. Auditing and Assurance 7. Information Technology and Strategic Management The last stage of Final Course in which there are 8 papers divided into two groups. Group 1 1. Financial Reporting 2. Strategic Financial Management 3. Advanced Auditing and Professional Ethics 4. Corporate and Allied Laws Group 2 5. Advanced Management Accounting 6. Information System control and Audit 7. Direct Tax Laws 8. indirect tax Laws |
